Background downloader working as planned {WoW}

Sep 11th 2008 7:38PM You can force it to start by going into your World of Warcraft folder and double-clicking the "Background Downloader" application. That's how I got mine to start.

WoW blog roundup {WoW}

Aug 25th 2008 9:56PM Not what this post is about, but hey thanks for the critique.

Be careful what you ask for {WoW}

Aug 25th 2008 5:28PM Again, I will respectfully reiterate the point of my article. People who don't enjoy melee and tanking will enjoy Death Knights.

Be careful what you ask for {WoW}

Aug 25th 2008 5:27PM In honor of journalistically covering both sides of an issue, comments like yours really annoy me because only snobs think the endgame is the only game. What are all those other levels for? Work? No, the WHOLE GAME is a game. And yes, I do know about arcane explosions and no, I don't use blood worms because I'm Unholy specced. And, frankly? It sounds like you've never played a death knight because the blood worms are kinda "meh" in my opinion.

Aug 25th 2008 4:46PM As I mentioned, I actually have tried to play tanks. The point is that I didn't have any fun playing them. The entire point of this article is that I believe DKs open up tanking and melee play to people who would otherwise not play them. DKs make it actually easy to play a tank.

Time Warner Cable customers experience World of Warcraft trouble {WoW}

Aug 13th 2008 7:30PM Daniel, I have Time Warner cable at home and this problem doesn't happen to me on the computers hard-wired to my network (one Mac and one XP). I do, however, encounter intermittent frustrations when I'm connected wirelessly to my router on my Vista laptop. I'm actually not convinced it's a cable problem but more of a router or Vista problem. To put in a word against some of the comments above, I have had zero problems with Time Warner in six years. We switched from Verizon, a company to which I will never willingly pay my own money again.

Kaplan reveals a stinky achievement {WoW}

Aug 5th 2008 6:36PM Anyone game to make a humorous translation of the faux-French in my fake WoW Insider achievement at the end of the post: "Le kittee quel terriblay odeur!!"
