Oct 21st 2011 5:27PM It seems like this could mean one of two things:
* When rested, you get 3X the experience instead of 2X; or
* The rested state lasts twice as long, but only grants the standard 2X.
Any clue as to which?
Jul 31st 2011 2:31PM "When I was optimizing my rogue (assassination) for gear grinding I noticed that the dummy kept popping up "Immune." comparing that to result to what i got in Setharia's Roost results in almost 50% difference in favor of actual mobs."
If you're doing the daily at Sethria's, this might well be significantly inflated. Recount by default counts damage from your druid friends as pet damage and rolls it into the total.
Jul 15th 2011 2:14PM Another worthwhile thing to do is join the Electronic Frontier Foundation (http://www.eff.org). They've been lobbying against this sort of abuse since way before most of us even knew the problems existed.
Jul 9th 2011 4:58PM OK, so I just rolled a mage, my first one. Right off the bat I have a question. The tooltip for arcane missiles says "Each offensive spell you cast has a 100% chance to activate Arcane Missiles." This appears to be BS; it goes off like maybe a third of the time. What am I missing?
Apr 18th 2011 2:42PM The Alliance is an alliance of separate Kingdoms. I think of it as kinda like NATO. Obama is the leader of the most powerful nation in NATO, but I can't see, e.g., Germans calling him "My President".
Though perhaps the British Commonwealth is a better analogy; Canadians do have the Queen on their currency even though they're a separate sovereign nation. Hmm...
Mar 21st 2011 3:15PM "Of all the games I've played, I don't think any was quite as frustrating as Zork."
Clearly then, you've never played Nethack.
Mar 3rd 2011 6:18PM Actually, now that I've re-read your question and my answer, the latter seems overly brusque and dismissive. Sorry about that. I latched on to your apparent loss aversion (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Loss_aversion), which budding auctioneers would do well to read about and do their best to purge from their mindset.
Your point is a reasonable one. If you set TSM up to price things based on spot prices for mats, and those mats experience a *temporary* price drop for some reason, you do risk posting your items below what would normally be your threshold. One answer is to use Auctioneer's prices, which are more of a long-term rolling average. Another would be to specify fixed prices for each item and stay on top of things. I think there's a way to specify fixed price for mats and use that for calculating the percentages, which would be a lot less labor-intensive. Then use the snatch list to find good deals on mats.
Mar 3rd 2011 5:52PM The scroll in your bag that cost you 100G to make a week ago is no different from the one you made yesterday for 50G. It's a serious mistake to think otherwise.
Feb 18th 2011 3:42PM Badgers? BADGERS? We don't need no steeeeeeeenkin badgers!
