Nov 10th 2009 1:09PM Been playing this game since just after launch.
Never been invited to any alpha or beta's. Ive tested on the PTR, posted on forums and even done ingame bug tickets.
Here's to hopefully finally getting a beta invite this time.
Oct 21st 2009 3:23PM The biggest problem I've seen is that I have to roll against Plate Tanks for tank off peices and roll against hunters and rogs for tanking gear.
I have far to much competition to roll against, and our plate tanks are gearing faster than I can keep up. We run a DKP system, and rolling against everyone for my loot is always killin my DKP.
Its so frustrating rolling against two groups of players. This is why im laggin behind the other tanks, gear wise.
Oct 13th 2009 7:09PM WOW.....finally some real preists buffs. I think I may need to dust that old bugger off.
Lets see how long this lasts.
Oct 8th 2009 3:41PM The feral set bonuses are very nice. Im rather happy.
Tanking is going to be sweet. I already specced for KoTJ because i love usin enrage for the added damage/aggro during fast raid pulls.
Totally love the feral tank bonus.
Sep 3rd 2009 6:55PM Mangle is the best feral talent in the whole tree. Hands down. Provides great TPS for bears and while mangle cat provides great DPS, it makes rip a whole lot better. (although mobs dont last long enoug for rip).
I miss leveling my druid. LOL, hopefully my Arms wars gets funner as I play him. Level 23 now.
Oct 29th 2008 1:18PM Hey Arildor
The Reformation did a guild first BT clear in one night. 10/28/2008.
Illy D was downed on 10/19/2008
Jul 18th 2008 12:46AM Lightwell (Holy): Cast time reduced to .5 sec, down from 1.5 sec. Charges increased to 10, up from 5. Now breaks from any attack that hits you for 30% or more of your total health. Cooldown reduced to 3 minutes, down from 5.
Blizz still wont let this crappy talent "DIE". Everyone one in the world ragged on them for such a sloppy talent design, and they are affraid to remove it because everyone will say, "Told you blizz LOLwell Failed."
Just give priest a better talent.
Jun 29th 2008 1:52AM Lets hope that Dire Cat Form will get "Duel Wielding".
The 1 attack speed just isnt cutting it anymore. But, we haven't had procs...IE Windfurry Totem, Moongoose, etc, etc....But I would love to see cat being able to gains the scaling of white damage.
Jun 20th 2008 1:55AM @ Streder....
Why I do believe that every tank has their own niche, I also believe that warriors and pallys are scaling better than druids.
The edge druids were supposed to have over other tanks was Armor, Dodge, and Health. But after the massive druid nerf it just wasn’t the same.
Pallys and warriors are surpassing feral health during T5/T6 content. The high dodge feral druids have over other tanks is now being balanced by warriors and pallys the high parry, dodge, block in T5/T6 content.
Feral druids are still devastated by crushing blows (which warriors and pallys don’t suffer from) and due to the armor cap feral druids can only scale by pumping more HP and Dodge, while warriors and pallys continue to scale all of their tanking stats.
Feral druid DPS is now being surpassed by prot warriors in DPS gear (it’s happening in my guild). Warriors have the luxury of duel wielding and with +24% hit from DPS gear, they are scaling much faster Vs feral DPS. Pallys don’t have the options to duel wield but their ability to AOE tank is consistently needed over DPS. * Have you done a raid without a pally tank, its horrible!
The niche for feral druids is extremely limited. While warriors can tank every raid boss in the game, the same cannot be said for feral druids. And with the absolute necessity of prot pallys is needed for all raid content, the same cannot be said for feral druids.
I for one love feral tanking, but the “brick wall” scaling of feral druids is slowly forcing us to take a backseat to warriors and pallys.
Jun 2nd 2008 3:55PM My main is a Feral Tank and I would like to talk about some of the cons of feral tanking.
Scaling: Once feral tanks reach the armor cap, uncritable. The only scaling left is stam and agil. It gets a bit borning when all you can scale is two stats. Pallies and Wars can still incrase amor, def, stam, parry, block and dodge.
The scaling for druids gets dull very fast when all you try to pump is agility or stam.
Rolls and Gear
***A FERAL druids is stuck between a pimp and a hard place***
Feral druids don’t have the advantage of not worrying about crushing blows. This devastating mechanics is the one reason why druids are never considered for MTing. Because druids can’t tank all THINGS in wow, we are normally viewed as lesser tanks and usually have to convince more pugs/guilds/raids that we are solid tanks. Prot wars and Pallies typically don’t have this problem. As stated above, prot wars and pallies can tank pretty much anything in this game.
Gear issues: There are very little pure feral items in end game raiding. Other than Tier gear (which other class/toon want) feral’s have to consistently defend their reasoning for selecting certain loot that drops. When tank gear drops you will get the few who state “that’s pure tank gear” and when rogue DPS gear drops, you will get the rogues that say “it has no armor or strength on it, its rogue gear”. And feral druids don’t want to look like selfish loot whores, so feral’s have to be cautious about the loot they ask for, unlike prot tanks or rogues.
Most guilds/raids don’t have a clear understanding about druid gear. And some rogue dps gear is really good for tankin, and visa versa, some tank gear is good for dps (neck pieces with stam and +hit). So many druids will fall into the middle by either being considered second for tank or dps gear, behind the pure specs.
I work with a guild that works with my feral spec and gear, but I know other feral druids that are always passed up by prot wars or dps rogues and usually get the hand me downs. This is why so many of my early feral friends have made the switch to resto, because of such great itemizations and gear available to them, without the need to reason why they should win such loot.
That’s just some food for though, for the OP.
