Feb 25th 2010 3:59PM oh and i have a key mapped to 'reverse camera' to quickly look behind me.
Targeting is a mixture of click to target or TAB depending on the situation.
A = Autorun
Feb 25th 2010 3:53PM Movement wise I move solely with the mouse:
Left and right buttons together to move forward
Right and middle to move back
Right alone turns me
left alone turns the camera
Side buttons to strafe
This then leaves my left hand to trigger all abilities from my keyboard.
Spacebar is still jump but that can be easily triggered with my thumb while fingers trigger spells and abilities.
I would recommend trying this if you have not and are looking for an alternative way of control - it's really intuitive once you get used to it.
And if you're just having to travel from A to B it leaves one hand free for coffee and munchies :)
I have tried playing first person with the camera zoomed in but it seemed very disconnected not seeing my weapon or hands like you get in a lot of first person RPG's - I just feel like a floating camera. Third person seems the best.
I tend to play thought with the camera quite close and then zoom out when flying or in a raid where i need to see a larger area.
Aug 6th 2009 4:26AM In answer to the speed questions some of you are asking - the percentages are additional.
So normal running speed is 100%.
So the mounts will give an additional +60%, +100%, +150% etc etc.
So with an epic land mount you're travelling at 200% or 2x running Speed.
Jun 14th 2009 6:41PM As far as I understand it, the US version of MD is not allowed in the uk due to having certain banned chemicals. It contains some really evil stuff it seem.
Mar 26th 2009 6:32PM Agreed - the wow insider gadget is most useful
Mar 26th 2009 6:26PM Can anyone link to the one shown here? I can see quite a few themes, but not the one Alex Has. :(
Mar 26th 2009 6:11PM I really like igoogle and it's modules - really handy to have.
I have had a WoW theme since just before Wrath was launched, though not the one shown here. I think I prefer this one.
Off to change mine now :)
Jun 4th 2008 1:44PM Am I right in remembering that 'DING' came from everquest, which was the sound you heard when you leveled?
May 27th 2008 10:00AM I am currently in a hunter only guild where the 5 of us are leveling up and taking on all of the instances as we reach the level required. We have just reached Sunken temple and so far 5 hunters plus 5 pets have had no problems lacking a dedicated tanking or healing class.
Its been a lot of fun I must say, and especially for me during a time when the game was falling a little flat.
I guess the real challenges will come later on and as we enter outlands - time will tell
