15 Minutes of Fame: Ferarro revs up Part 2 {WoW}

Jun 3rd 2009 11:31PM Man, there I was thinking there WERE hotties that play WoW.... Bitter bitter disappointment

An opportunity to change Retribution {WoW}

Apr 29th 2009 12:57AM This is a bit lame... there are many classes with low skills caps... It's about what's fun. I nearly have 4 80's, and the ret is just the most fun... Is ease of use necasarily bad or an indication of easy of play? If you asked me to have one toon, and the method of play, I would choose my paladin over a warrior, Shaman and almost an 80 Mage.

I mean, I have an enhance sham... They pretty much do the same. What about ranged dps? They don't even have to move during a lot of boss fights, and just spam their rotation - sure they have to look at some synergistic play elements, like procs and best timing, but then they don't have to move.

The Light and How to Swing It: State of the class {WoW}

May 11th 2008 11:38PM "The DND archetype is a good point - as the Pally was when the game was launched, right up until TBC, the Pally was basically a DND Cleric. If they'd called the class a Cleric, people wouldn't have been confused about what it did. Instead, they called it a name that means something else in just about every other fantasy setting out there, and reinforce the false perception by handing out a 2H hammer that is overpowered for the level to mask the class' lack of DPS. By the time the damage bump from Verrigan's Fist wears off, you're nearing level 40 and your free mount, and by the time you've got that far you're too invested to re-roll."

Hah, that's awesome, and so so true.

The Light and How to Swing It: Support class in disguise {WoW}

May 11th 2008 9:46PM Absolutely spot on. I've been writing similar comments for months, and then stumbled upon this article. This is part of the reason paladin healing has gone to the dogs. When you chose to a paladin healer before, you really were very good, it off-set the fact you have no offensive functionality. However, with the nerfs a holy paladin is reminded just how boring play is, and how utterly limited it is.
