Oct 28th 2011 10:09PM If only there was a better way to level 60-80! I loved the new 1-60 content like many of you (I agree the new Forsaken storyline is epic) but then i hit 60 and went through the portal and.. oh. Outlands again. Hrm.... bored.
Nov 21st 2008 1:55PM Another minor fix I found, but a nice one: My podcast episodes now seem to appear in reverse-chronological order– so I can start with the oldest and play them in the proper order without having to take my iPhone out of my pocket and choose each one. Nice.
Jun 4th 2007 11:06PM How about you guys stop posting stories about products that dont have prices yet? What is this, the 10th SSD drive that I cant frickin buy?
Dec 16th 2006 9:49AM My wife is from Scranton, and my inlaws make up half of Scrantons population. Trust me: This is a far more accurate representation of the alcohol intake of the average Scrantonian than you would believe :) There isnt much to do BUT drink in that city.
And take tours of coal mines.
Sep 24th 2006 2:02PM img eL- Just because BDs and HD-DVDs can hold that much doesn't mean the movies will necessarily be that large- DVD Studio Pro already allows compression of hi-def quality movies onto an ordinary 4.7GB DVD, thanks to the magic of H.264. now, yes, it's still going to be a bear trying to download 4 and a half gig, but it's easily something that could be done overnight or even quicker if a future release of the iTunes store supports torrenting.
Ben Drawbaugh- DVD Studio Pro does NOT support true HD-DVDs yet, nor Blueray- the "high Def DVD" option in Compressor is only compatible with Macs running Quicktime 7- its basically an H.264 quicktime movie on an ordinary DVD. It wont play in a set-top box. Maybe we will see an announcement at NAB this fall, but I wouldn't hold my breath. like many others have said, Apple waits until all parts of the solution are available and dependable, and that is hardly the case yet.
Nov 19th 2005 9:28PM I dont think a total rehash is needed. The writing team is still as good as most on TV. Note- I didnt say they werre great, just on par. SNL has always had obvious jokes, recurring characters and puerile humor. You've got to remember that SNL plays all across this great country of ours- including the 30-or-so states that thoguht re-electing W. would be a peachy idea- this isn't high-prow, subtle humor. This is Television. You want complex themes and edge, go down to your local improv and buy a ticket. Dump some of the older actors- Sanz, Armisen, Forte, Hammond just aren't caring any more. Its always been 90 minutes and it will always BE 90 minutes, but maybe think of a new weekly sketch a-la Weekend update to break the show up better. The last hour has been dragging. maybe think of two- one to break up the last 60, and one to REPLACE weekend update- W.E. used to be my favorite sketch week in and week out, but with the Daily Show out there, W.E. now comes off as second rate.
