Apr 5th 2011 8:56PM I think you many of you expect too much from a PUG, you wouldn't expect a PUG to do just as well as a guild group in a raid would you? The same applies to RBGs, organization and communication is key in PvP, so PUGs often have problems getting past organized teams.
Mar 31st 2011 11:19PM So, where has Blood Sport been? I miss my pvp article fix.
Jan 29th 2011 12:11PM I think we may understand that Pyromelter is not a fan of Tol Barad at this point. I agree that this is a step in the right direction. I have played both as the attacker and defender on my server and managed to win as the attacker a few times, mainly by countering their zerg before they can take one of our bases. However, those wins as attackers are few and far between, so I think this is definitely a very solid try at fixing this. Will it work? We won't know til we try it on live servers.
Jan 21st 2011 8:05PM Purge I don't think is that big of a deal, it really just changes the mechanic in a small way in my opinion, you should still be able to use it to get a kill.
I don't see your point on Earth Shield, unless you are doing 5v5, most the buffs on you probably aren't completely vital, especially with Blood Lust gone. Also, offensive dispels are getting nerfed so it shouldn't be that big of a deal anyways.
Second, a resto shaman will drop Stoneclaw at the same time as a Mana Tide totem to protect it.
Jan 7th 2011 11:44PM I hope everyone remembers this is a PTR patch notes, not actual patch notes yet. They still can change anything they want so, as a shaman, I'm just going to continue playing as I play now and adjust my style after an actual change. If I can't be elemental anymore I will go enhance, I already play resto anyways.
Also, this is in line with the mortal strike nerf in my view, they are trying to make comps not say "We need _______ because of this __________" and allow players to be what they want to be, at least to a larger extent then before.
I still think a shaman has enough utility to make it a valuable part of most teams in arena, maybe not all Gladiator level comps but hey, most people won't get there anyways. Maybe we'll need to learn to throw some other abilities around to compensate but I think shamans will be fine in the long run.
Jan 4th 2011 11:35PM I have heard a lot of people on my server complaining of waiting in queue times for random BGs. My friends and I, after we did our arena matches, would chain random BGs and I've found that being in a group of 3-5 people usually makes for shorter queue times. Of course, due to the Tol Barad thing most of us don't need honor gear anymore. Hope this helps.
