Sep 7th 2008 4:06PM For the Rogue-mace thing, just play any of the Thief games and experience the pure joy of whacking people round over the head with a Blackjack. They go down, stay down and don't wake up until you're miles away with all the loot.

@ mcgayver: Jaina took her expedition to Kalimdo pretty much because Medivh persuaded her to, and he presumably did that so that human forces were at the Battle of Mount Hyjal, thus helping to save the world.

From the point of view of the other humans, im sure some did flee south to Stormwind. Options were limited though, and given the ease with which Lordaeron and Dalaran had been dealt with, there was no gurantee that Stormwind would be a safe refuge (indeed it seems the place was mostly just lucky in that was overlooked being south of the action). Gilneas had closed borders and again, was not exactly a safe bet so its perhaps not surprising that there were plenty up for fleeing to another continent.

Sep 4th 2008 11:00AM I too love Totem Timers. Its the first mod I ever used, been using it for years, and it keeps getting better and better as time goes on. Its got a nice simple, clean functionality but gives you all the tools you need for being a Shaman. Combine with the bar mod of your choice and you've basically got you Shaman UI.

Aug 25th 2008 8:12AM I'll be sticking with my Shaman because I love it and it seems that the class is going to be getting a nice boost. And i'll stick with the alchemy cos ppl always wneed pots. However, that inevitable Death Knight alt will give me a chance to try something very different and level up another profession.

Effectively, I want to keep going with everything i've worked on, but a bit of variety is going to be fun as well!

Aug 21st 2008 10:29PM Nice article summarising a lot of the interesting points about the Barrens. A lot of people dismiss it but I love the place, it has a great atmosphere to it. Both my Orc characters have never felt a greater sense of peace then when making their way across its plains.

Aug 8th 2008 2:45PM My main interest is in whether Elemental and Resto specs will be reasonably viable for levelling up with. Enhancement has always been the obvious choice for this, andi f anything seems to have got better by being definitavely hybrid. By contrast Elemental has had pushback issues and Resto lacks DPS (although that probably isnt so much of an issue thanks to spellpower).

Aug 6th 2008 10:27AM Personally I'd like to see it removed for PvE rather than PvP reasons. I've had my 70 shaman specced Elemental for the last year and i love it, but come Wrath I know i'll be respeccing to enhancement to level up because of pushback. At the moment I can kill most 70 mobs okay before they get into melee range with me, but not all, and when they do its a pain in the arse, you just have to wait through ridiculously longed pushbacked casts, or just shock every 6 seconds. Once that changes to fighting mobs higher than myself in Wrath it simply won't be feasbile.

Ultimately I'd like to see pushback reduced in severity, or removed and replaced with some much more minor inconvenience. It does make sense to have some penalty for a caster to be being hit in melee, but the current mechanic can be crippling.
