Prot-Gear for Holy Paladins: will it help? {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 12:21PM I'd suggest the prot PVP armour myself as I have full S1 lamellar gear from PVPing in battlegrounds. Whether as Holy or Prot I'd reccomend the lamellar for higher spell damage.

Admitedly lower on mana and mana regen than Holy paladins I find as prot it is fun an interesting to do the daily grind as well as general questing, etc... and PVPing as prot in the lamellar I find definately rewarding.

I'm looking forward to getting through the arenas as prot... though that might be a bit harder... who knows.

Welcome back to beautiful Alterac {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 12:13PM since the patch whenever i am online grinding for honour I am grinding in AV with a whole party of either guildmates or friends and we typically are on enemy tower capping duties advancing up the battlefront as the towers cap... Its a certain success story as long as we have 10-15 ppl on defence at the frostwolf towers. (and i know its not a real choke point, thts why hunters with stealth detection are a must on Defence.)

On the occasions when i have run Defence we have won most of thw time because of a good defensive side as i said 10-15 on Defence at that choke point usually is enough to hold the alliance flat.

and while prefer Offence it is because it is more... cinematic taking the enemy towers.

(Though I am looking forward to getting my Horde battle Standard and sitting on Defence... planting the flag between the towers and yelling, "On me my brothers and sisters of the Horde!")

All in all i have always loved AV and now it is even more worth while to take part in the fight. (I would appreciate more NPC's though...)

The Light and How to Swing It: Support class in disguise {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 11:21AM Hear hear shumina! I am a prot paladin myself but many of the paladins in my guild are holy and would contest with me the viability of their specs in a solo situation.

I hve been holy myself and while i personally prefer being prot for the AoE grinding I know from experience it is just as easy to do so as a holy paladin.

Well said. yet again.

The Light and How to Swing It: Blood Knights moving forward {WoW}

Jun 1st 2008 10:52AM I also didn't know the /eye emote but shall test it out asap.

As for knowing lore, i only truly joined the game to follow the storyline though through a rare twist of fate i wound up on an PVP server rather than a RP one. (where many people say I belong...)

I appreciated the Article for the storyline value it contains but there are websites where you can discover the lore updates before the patch's hit.

(if you know where to look) Very well done.

As for the blood Elf redemption i believe that it is inevitable. And i also wholeheardedly supported Blood Elf Paladins joining the shattered Sun. I am recomending all paladins in my guild get to exalted with the SSO and get the title purely for storyline value.

I like how the Quel'Danas storyline was progressive, it was a nice touch and if blizzard follows this type of dailiy - progression in Wrath of the Lich King it can only be a good thing. A good example would be the forsaken testing their new plague against the scourge. Or the Blood Knights and Knights of the Silver Hand pursuing Arthas' for Vengance against both Lorderon and Quel'Thalas.
