Pimp my mount {WoW}

Apr 1st 2009 12:58PM Bugmenot is still ahead for my favorite April Fools site today. Check them out if you're familiar with the service they provide.

BRK taking a break from World of Warcraft {WoW}

Mar 30th 2009 4:36PM It can be done by having clear boundaries and priorities and by finding a group of like minded people in game, even if that means moving servers to find the right situation. You can limit yourself to a few nights a week before bed and still see all the current endgame content if you play in a guild that believes in making effective use of everyone's time.

Time is Money: Low-level cloth {WoW}

Mar 26th 2009 9:14AM Whew, was concerned that you were going to reveal the REAL cloth money making strategy. Glad this is just another farming guide instead.

Carry on :p

The Queue: You have been pwned by a grue {WoW}

Mar 17th 2009 11:40AM They might just be trying to give new scribes the same chance that old scribes have to learn the new glyphs and get them into the marketplace. My scribe knows every glyph currently in the game, so if the new glyphs were available with research my odds of getting a 3.1 glyph would be 100% every day.

Hopefully the drop rate is a little better than it is for damaged necklaces.

GC: If you're OOM, tell your guildies to get out of the fire {WoW}

Mar 16th 2009 3:54PM DPS that doesn't get out of the fire is bad DPS, regardless of their output. Dead players do zero DPS.

Officers' Quarters: Time for another rant {WoW}

Mar 16th 2009 11:19AM I don't think these are mutually exclusive things. Showing a newbie the ropes sometimes involves educating them about their role in a group and how to play to the strengths of their class....pretty much the same process that help someone evolve into a successful raid member. The top performers in the group I run with enjoy friendly competition, its just another way to have fun in game alongside the other things that you mentioned.

Most "serious raiding" posts I've seen revolve around having consideration for other people's time by showing up on time and prepared and paying enough attention to avoid standing in the fire.

Officers' Quarters: Time for another rant {WoW}

Mar 16th 2009 10:37AM Related Suggestion: If you want to bring about constructive change, why not start a non-whiny discussion about it on your guild forums and try to build consensus there?

"Talk to the officers" reads a lot like "bring it up in whisper chat." Officers already have to deal with so much crap in whisper during time that they're spending in-game that this might not be the best way to present your suggestion.

No vanilla WoW realms. Really. {WoW}

Mar 13th 2009 2:32PM The instances in vanilla were largely tank and spank with very few interesting variations like DM Tribute. Complain about current AoE spam if you want, but you could try running heroics without stacking AoE classes if this is seriously a drag on you right now.

You sound bored of WoW, not bored of WOTLK. Go play something else.

The Queue: Hard mode is hard {WoW}

Mar 6th 2009 2:22PM What do you mean I need to leave the guild? Do you like Phil Collins? I've been a big Genesis fan ever since the release of their 1980 album, Duke. Before that, I really didn't understand any of their work. Too artsy, too intellectual.

Arena players say they can't compete with Death Knights {WoW}

Feb 20th 2009 3:45PM /gasp

An article that baits both DK-haters AND Arena-haters. It's the reece's peanut butter cup of QQ attracting posts.

Well played, Mr. Schramm. Well played indeed.
