Patch 3.3.3 PTR: Death knight changes {WoW}

Mar 9th 2010 6:20PM If I can, I always lay down DnD, pull a single mob with Death Grip, and apply my 2 diseases and by time I get them up, the other mobs are there and I can spread them via Pest. This works out well, but if I don't have DnD available to me (with a geared group, basically every other trash pull), than I don't have this luxury and will resort to a Howling Blast/Blood Boil and than start tabbing through them hoping to at least get a Obit or RS off on them all, in hopes of keeping them all glued to me (which with a geared group isn't always easy).

Yeah, unfortunately I only come to wow.com once in a blue moon, however I did read the PTR patch notes. I never saw this (and from the posts I found on the wow forums, it wasn't there, it was only listed in the undocumented changes thread on the test realm forums) so it kind of sucks that I can't rely on the "official" patch notes for accurate information, but nothing new I guess. Plus I'm not even sure I would use this today, as Titanium has never been the blocker in my creation of Titansteel bars (I have 4 450 miners available to me daily to create them (mine, wife's, kids)). But in the new patch it most definitely will be useful. Thank you all for the enlightening information.

Feb 25th 2010 10:36AM I agree, especially at the price people are paying for frozen orbs now (they've jumped into the 15-20g range on my server). I don't see any of the items you buy with 1 frozen orb holding much value beyond 5g within a few hours of the patch going live, as honestly people we're vending Frozen Orbs for the longest time before this (I was smart, I created a bank alt just to hold them all, I have close to 700 of them stock piled at the moment, none that I bought, just all the ones that my guild has collected (since WotLK shipped), so I welcome this patch as I can actually do something useful with them (buy mats to make my alts who are approaching 80 gear)).

Feb 25th 2010 10:32AM Yeah evidently in 3.3, but it was NOT listed in the patch notes. And as I said, I never used/tried it as I didn't want to blow a CD making titanium when I could be making a gem for a nice profit. :( I wish I would have known.

When I login on the PTR this morning, after putting in my authenticator's code, the dialog to select which account I want to login pops up and another box that says nothing and ONLY has a cancel button appears on top of it. I can't select an account in the box behind it until I push the cancel button, and once I push the cancel button, the account selection box becomes empty (my accounts just disappear), so I have no account to select. There are multiple people having this problem, and a blue has confirmed this is broken, stating people with multiple accounts tied to a single battle.net account will not be able to login until the next patch.

Feb 25th 2010 10:28AM Well I just tested on Live and indeed there is no Cooldown, yet I can't find this in any of the patch notes. When did this get slipped in? It sure would have been handy to know, I have never used this transmute as the CD made it not worth my while, plus I didn't want to lock myself out of being able to transmute a gem. I can't believe this, seriously Blizzard put stuff in the patch notes if your going to change it (I have checked, it's not in any of the patch notes, but it was supposedly done in 3.3)

Feb 25th 2010 10:21AM I copied my alchemist over to test on the PTR, but evidently Blizzard has found a way to punish it's highest paying customers (those with multiple accounts on a single battle.net account). As the latest PTR doesn't work if you have more than 1 account on your battle.net account (I have 5). So I can't login to actually test this, as I haven't seen this mentioned ANYWHERE, I even checked the PTR forums. That's why I was so surprised to read this. As I agree, this makes it downright crazy cheap to make titansteel bars (which are already down to 85g on my server in the first place)

Feb 25th 2010 10:11AM Where in the patch notes does it say the cooldown was being removed from the transmute at? I can't seem to find that. I just copied my alchemist over to the PTR to check this out.

More options for party communication {WoW}

Dec 17th 2009 3:19PM I just want to know why I can't private msg people from other servers when I use the new LFG tool to find a random heroic. Unless I'm mistaken it works in BattleGrounds.

Gearing up for WoW: The RazerNaga AddOn {WoW}

Oct 16th 2009 4:01PM I bought one the day it was released, and returned in 2 days later. The mouse it's self is fine, it's just I bought it to be a 17 button mouse. Unfortunately it's a 5 button mouse with either 1-= or a 2nd numeric keypad on it (switchable via a toggle on the bottom of the mouse). I already use both my keys and my numeric keypads for in game function, and was looking forward to the extra 12 buttons for auxillary functions that I don't normally bind to any keys. Instead I ended up with 12 buttons I had absolutely no use too. So while I'm sure it's a great mouse on some level, the fact that I can't reprogram those 12 buttons independently was a no go for me.
