Raid Rx: 10 ways to support your healing lead {WoW}

Feb 5th 2010 8:21AM Pens > All!!

Breakfast Topic: Never Gonna {WoW}

May 2nd 2009 8:37AM I didnt think i'd raid as any other spec then resto on my shaman but dual spec and an abundance of healers in my guild have seen me be elemental for 50% of the time in Ulduar.

Martin Fury: What would you have done? {WoW}

May 1st 2009 4:38PM @ Rhoe it's not his game though, this is a MMO with a very clear EULA in which there are more then one article which defines what he has done as a bannable offense.

And seriously: fun in just oneshotting (literally here) new bosses? I loved LEARNING the Mimiron fight in fact learning fights like that is the reason me and my guild are playing.

Wht he did was wrong: he cheated in an MMO a game genre where your actions influence others. idc about people who cheat in single person games (their loss) but here it's not right, especially since world firsts were involved.

And anyone with some love for their account wouldn't have used the item like he had, try it om some low lvl stuff maybe, but using it on the brand new raid content is just asking for trouble.

Varian Wrynn is Right {WoW}

Apr 26th 2009 7:23PM The alliance did betray the blood elves: they basicly left kaelthas and his followers to die against overwhelming odds by taking most of his troops (WC3 frozen throne) and the alliance leader showed his racist mindset. Then when kael thas did the only thing he could do: ally himself with the nagas he was imprisoned and sentenced to death for treason.

MI6 marketing awards nominate Blizzard in six categories {WoW}

Apr 3rd 2009 3:00PM I've seen a "whats your game" ad with a gnome, it's with that guy that playes minime in the austin power movies

Ready Check: Ulduar and Burnout {WoW}

Mar 29th 2009 8:07PM The main reason for this burnout is the insane lack of content since 2.1 hitted with MH/BT. since then we've seen 8 new bosses in about 2 years, granted the first 6 of those were awesome and really well balanced but still that's not alot to go on.

I personaly also don't like hardmodes that much; Sarth 3D is still Sarth. What Blizz should have done when they created the 10/25 man in Wrath was making 10 mans easy so that people could see the content there and making 25 mans hard without any gimmicky "hard modes". That way people would be less burned out because trying immortal is still doing the same bloody instance it has been since Vanilla.

Also blizzard doesnt seem to realise the damage the extensive PTR testing is doing, it makes new content old news before it even becomes live and they proved they can make great encounters without much testing (Muru and especially KJ)

How to apply to a guild {WoW}

Mar 20th 2009 3:06PM No one is asking you to grovel and kiss ass Madmac (nomen est omen btw), it's a guilds good right to want to get some info from the people that want to join. It's their guild not yours. You can get T8 no problem when pugs will become commonplace (You could pug T6 raids at my server all the time pre 3.0 so T8 should be no problem). As an officer in a raiding guild i do have a say on who gets to join and i can tell you: i don't expect ppl to kiss my ass, in fact i rather have it they don't. All i want to see in an application is some dedication to raiding and their character is that so hard to ask? Think before you casualrage next time please.

The Queue: Item level, attunements, and more {WoW}

Mar 20th 2009 12:03PM The Sunwell gate system was not linked to the daily quests from the Isle outside the instance, they were opened at Blizzards discretion and were put there to stop the hardcore guilds from clearing the whole place too fast. The daily quests outside had only influence on the amount of daily quests available and on what vendors were unlocked (badge items / gem vendor).

Breakfast Topic: It's gotta happen sometime {WoW}

Mar 20th 2009 8:14AM On the very first day me and my guild went into TK the shaman healing belt dropped thrice, (and that was only doing the trash to lootreaver), i've seen that belt drop like 2 times in the the year that followed and it was best in slot until SWP so i count myself very lucky :)
