Stood in fire. Again.
May 2nd 2010 1:33PM I had this problem with the shatterth orphan...until I realized it was livestock causing the problem. I have it set to summon a pet any time I'm out, but it doesn't register the orphan as a pet, so as soon as I land, I summon the orphan, which dismisses the pet livestock had summoned, and then livestock summons a new one, dismissing the orphan.
If you are using livestock, type /livestock and then deselect everything from the critter menu.
Apr 22nd 2010 1:35PM Thanks Jonathon...but when I posted that it was relevant. They have obviously fixed the article so that you don't have to go into the comments to get the correct information, a change I'm glad they made right away.
Apr 22nd 2010 10:18AM re unlearning professions:
The N key will take you to your talent trees and glyphs (something it took a certain young druid about 30 levels to find, heh), it will not help you if you want to unlearn your professions as the article indicates. To unlearn a profession, hit K, (or if you've bound that to something else, C and then click the skills tab) then click on the bar for the profession you want to unlearn. In the bottom 1/3 of the window you have open, you will see basically what is shown in the picture for this article, but with a bar for the appropriate profession. Click on that little red button to the right of the bar, and the profession will be unlearned. (I think there's a confirmation box, but I wasn't about to double check that on any of my toons ;) )
Feb 9th 2010 10:34AM I actually think it might be his lack of pants that's driving the women away.
Nov 24th 2009 1:01PM Oooh, I've been wanting to get one of these ever since they were first announced!
Oct 9th 2009 10:04AM Either nourish or shadowmeld, depending on how I decided to set things up between this and my n52te.

"They could do colors around the school rings such as green, yellow, and orange, then people would be able to know if the school of fish they are fishing is going to give them a faster skill-up or a slower one. "
I agree this would be nice, but given the current system behind skilling up your fishing, this does not work. Not counting "your fish got away" messages, your fishing skill will level just as quickly in Stormwind and it would in, say EPL, as you get a fishing skill point every X casts, rather than every time in an "orange pool," but only once in awhile in a "green pool." That being said, I wish they would do away with this mechanic, and have fishing skill ups work just like any other profession. If something is harder, it should have a higher chance of giving you a skill up.
Dec 2nd 2008 2:48AM @Rylan:
"Typically marks and kill order:
Skull = primary target/first kill
X = secondary
Circle = sap (if you have a rogue) humaniods only until level 71
Square = freezing trap (if you have a hunter)
Star = shackle (if you have a priest) undead only
Diamond = banish (if you have a warlock) demons only
Moon = sheep (if you have a mage) humanoids/beasts only"
While this may be correct for your realm, I believe other realms are slightly different. For example, on my realm you generally see star as the sap target, and circle saved for for some of the more rarely seen CCs (a druid's hibernate, for example). Diamond is generally used for any warlock CC ability...Anything from banish to enslave to chain fearing.
Just some food for though for someone who doesn't do a lot of instancing. Realms generally have very similar assignments for marks, but be aware that your realm may not be exactly the same as the next realm.
