Mar 23rd 2012 12:35PM The conclusion is rather US-centric: In much of Europe, consumer protection legislation can carry weight over contract. So one can't advertise something and then simply boiler-plate it out, as one can in the US: The contract remains solid, but the advertising still upsets the authorities.
The catch for players is that consumer protection legislation generally isn't a personal matter. Normally the aforementioned authority investigates and takes action, which only happens in cases of endemic miss-selling. And, to my knowledge, such action doesn't extend to the deployment of Apache helicopters...
Sep 17th 2011 1:32PM Tauur, from their FAQ:
"Most subscribers received a choice between a collection of six in-game pets or a full refund of their remaining subscription balance. However, some individuals with longer subscription terms remaining were offered one or two further premiums in addition to the pet collection."
Dec 5th 2010 3:49AM Oops. That was a reply to http://wow.joystiq.com/2010/12/04/countdown-to-cataclysm-profession-updates-and-changes/comments/31868196/ - it's evidently still too early...
Dec 5th 2010 3:47AM Basil - I agree that Cataclysm fishing is, like most of the other professions, "more of the same". Except without some of WotLK's fun stuff, like the Dalaran fountain coins. However, the article read like there was nothing except a waste of time leveling a skill, which isn't true: There certainly are a lot of new fish to catch, a couple of which aren't going to easy with 450 skill. Plus fishing will be a good source of 2 Volatiles. Maybe I'm too biased, and am seeing new content where others see none?
JT - I wasn't attempting a hijack, it was merely easier to post a link than to type out a detailed answer to Basil's question.

Dec 4th 2010 2:48PM The one fishing feature you mention, daily quests, were (eventually) patched in 4.0.3a, which is already live. Leveling speed depends a lot on whether Blizzard have fixed any bugs before Tuesday (I'd wager not). You missed all the Cataclysm fishing features. Glad to see 'blog journalism is alive and well.
Sep 2nd 2010 9:56AM To clarify: My, erm, other me is generally relaxed about reuse of content, unless it is blatant profiteering, which this isn't. Technically this maps "creative reuse" anyway. There are links back for anyone interested, which is adequate attribution.
Apr 27th 2010 5:38AM biffuz - Kopp v. Vivendi - http://www.citizen.org/litigation/forms/cases/getlinkforcase.cfm?cID=209 - agreed to disagree. Suffice to say there is a lot that introductions like this article aren't covering...
Dec 22nd 2009 4:30PM ...Although unfortunately Runed Titanium Rod can't be made until 425, so unless the rod is changed...
Dec 22nd 2009 4:25PM Sypher: Runed Titanium Rod certainly works. When first data-mined, the formula required a "Runed Azurite Rod"... which doesn't exist either. Logically, the mystery (Cobalt/Azurite) rod was intended to be the "lower-tier" Northrend rod. But before WotLK was released, that rod was removed.
Curiously, this enchant is probably most useful for enchanters: The single dust required is a very efficient way to skill-up from 375 to about 395. Assuming you can get Ethereal Oil made.
