The Queue: Civilization {WoW}

Oct 30th 2011 12:51PM Has much been made about the fact that mistweavers (monk-healers) won't have mana constraints? I'm sure they'll be limited otherwise (cooldowns, ramp up times, etc) but I guess the question is how will these constraints impact healing? If a tanks needs a big heal right now and it's on cooldown, it kinda sucks to twiddle your thumbs while the group dies. Mana-users can still spam big heals, just there are consequences.

Officers' Quarters: Pointing fingers {WoW}

Jul 14th 2008 11:55AM The guild member now knows a rare enchant and could be expected to do it for the guild at no cost. Instead of having this potential resource in the guild (and having the enchant sit in a bank tab is no use to anyone, really), they've booted him and almost certainly cut off any future access to the enchant.

Either this guild is extremely high-strung and short-sighted or there is more going on than has been described here.

Grats to the writer: You know a rare enchant! Use it, profit from it, love it!

Ask a Lore Nerd: The Evil-o-Meter {WoW}

Jun 16th 2008 3:00AM I'd say eventually a faction of Naga we can earn rep with is almost a certainty - especially if Azshara ever makes it in game. Every big faction we've seen has a splinter group that opposes it's "former masters/allies" plans. Theres the Defias and Stormwind, the Forsaken and the Scourge, the Ashtongues and Illidan, Deathwing and the Dragonflights, Scryers and Kael ... and many more.

Shifting allegiances and "the enemy of my enemy is my friend" are both nearly universal in warcraft. Surely someone as power-hungry as Azshara would have alienated a few of her followers. I don't know if the storyline will ever bring her back, but if it does I guarantee there will be Naga we work worth.

Testing strategy reading abilities, Part I {WoW}

Jun 6th 2008 1:07AM This is a terrible test.

It is entirely possible to read the strategy, laugh at the joke and still get the GM's question wrong. I don't know how your raids go, but if we aren't insulting each other, something is wrong.

I would just view the insult as some much needed comic relief and not even think to mention it when someone asked me "What was wrong?"

Furthermore, it was posted this morning, and you expect people to see it tonight??? Yea, I check my guild page daily - especially when I'm not raiding - and if he's asking 35 people, some of them aren't raiding. Assuming the question was posed exactly as is suggested here, it is in no way a surrogate for determining who does their homework.

Now labelling Kalycgos as "The Giant Flying Spaghetti Monster" might have gotten you somewhere ... but not this.
