Jun 20th 2008 3:22PM Did you really have to skin the drakes in Netherstorm, I told you it would come back to haunt us.
Jun 20th 2008 11:34AM Having hated battlegrounds with my lock and loving them with my rogue, I decided to see what my recently AV ready pally coudl do. As it turned out, a pally with decent gear for level 51 cant do a darn bit of damage to a level 60 rogue, but man can you heal. Especially when only one or two other people in the entire bg are healing. This became my new fun in life. Through the low 50s standing in the middle of chaos healing while horde rogues and hunters just run past me to chomp on the squishy mages that just wont die because someone is healing them, all the while getting whispers from people on other servers wanting me to transfer there because the dont usually see pally healers in battlegournds is so much fun. I usually do not pay attention to what place i finish in a bg, but top two in a bg as a healer on a regular basis is actually really fun, on top of the fact that my little dorf pally has almost passed my 70 lock in honor kills because the lock was always a target of stun lock rogues is even more refreshing.
Jun 19th 2008 9:55AM The Curse of Shadows change is HUGE for Kara runs that have only one lock since you always get forced to run Curse of the Elements to buff the mages. The whole reason I went fire/desruction was to be able to take advantage of my own buff. The cheat death nerf is crap. The whole reason to run a Sub build is survivability since your damage output is a little less than combat rogues, depending on your playing style. Mounts at 30 I will like but I honestly could do without. I have two 70s, two 50+, two 30ish and two 20ish. All this will do is allow me to run a few areas faster and may encourage me to level my shadowpriest so she can get a horsey. For those of you crying foul about twink druids, get over it, do you really think that Blizzard cares about you being able to rule a battleground.
Jun 19th 2008 8:48AM I have not read all three pages, but the comments seem to be around the same lines. The biggest thing this will do is allow for a little easier time with the "go see this guy then come back to me" quest in areas such as Desolace and Thousand Needles. As long as the quest for the carrot on a stick remains at 40 and the epic mount stays at 60 this will only act as a convienence for folks who are leveling alts or new to the game. Trust me, there is a reason that of my alts that are below 40 my druid is the one that I tend to play the most, walking in this game sucks. As long as the price is the same and the price/level requirements for the other levels of mounts stay the sam, this will turn out to be a good move.
Jun 11th 2008 9:47AM As I have posted on other forums, the arena system is completely screwed up. With the ability to leave and rejoin teams so you can "auto win" with your season 3 gear against folks who are just starting out simply by reseting your rating is a joke. I stopped playing arena because of the fact that having just started out I was constantly facing teams of fully geared people who just enjoyed beating the hell out of me. I will never claim to be a pvp king, but in the battlegrounds and world pvp I do o.k. I completely agree witht he above post of putting some kind of penalty on players that involves time away from arena for leaving a team, didn't they do that for battlegrounds to stop folks from jumping ship. If arena is suppose to showcase the best of the best at pvp, lets keep it that way and stop the cheaters from running the show.
Jun 6th 2008 9:48AM ok, a few of my own thoughts.
From an Alliance point of view, STV suck so hard its not funny. I did not realize how bad until I leveled a Horde alt and discovered that you can take a freaking zepplin there pretty much any time or level you want. Until the Rebel (retartd as I call it) camp was made, any retribution from guildies or your own alts for griefing took a long time to get there while horde seemed to show up on a bus bus or something. One note on the Rebel Camp flight point, how did alliance justify sending the Darkshire reject gaurds to STV, these guys are just simply useless and should be made into more vendors or something.
Your other option for a flight point is to go to Booty Bay and run all the way north to Booty Bay.
A side note: Griefing to me is defined as repeatedly killing someone much lower level than you over and over again. If you can kill someone the same or close to the same level than you repeatedly without some punk 70 standing there oneshotting them while you stab them, more power to you.
The problem with STV is that too much griefing goes on, hands down, alliance does it and horde does it. If you have a level 70, go do something productive. Run to Kara, do a bg, farm for your epic mount.
