Jul 21st 2009 3:51PM Not sure if anyone's mentioned it, but Razer has a handy mouse-buying-guide on their site (razerzone.com) that helps you pick what mouse best fits your style. I've been very happy with my Razer Copperhead, and felt their mouse guide was useful. This article gives a lot of great information as well - nice write up.
On a side note, I would not recommend anyone getting the WoW mouse by Steelseries; I have only heard poor things about it from people I know that have it. I've heard decent things about Logitech's gaming mice but haven't had experience with one to date.

May 27th 2009 3:44PM "I know that China has not been very... um... energetic at enforcing foreign Intellectual Property rights within it's borders."
Lol, thats putting it lightly to say the least.
China replicates products and steals patented ideas all the time. From brand name watches, computer hardware, handbags, you name it - they steal it and reproduce it with inferior materials and sell it back to us. Oftentimes these inferior materials prove dangerous and/or toxic.
Wouldn't surprise me if World of Fight causes seizures (like some of their cartoons).
Apr 29th 2009 4:09PM "While SR and WD will proc the same amount of Deadly Poison over a long fight"
Just a friendly correction - Unlike Instant Poison and Wouding Poison, Deadly Poison is not on a PPM basis. Deadly will proc more often with a faster weapon.
Also, I wanted to note: Wounding poison has a higher PPM than Instant and combat builds will use wound over instant on their MH. As you've stated, though, both combat and mutilate use deadly on their OH.
Apr 29th 2009 3:50PM Bah, you can't rain on his parade. Combat daggers are sub-par DPS for sure, but if he isn't raiding he has every right to play how he'd like.
In BC, I was combat daggers when all the FotM rogues were following EJ's advice and speccing combat swords. I consistently out dps'd sword rogues (god knows how?) who swore they used optimal rotations and had equal gear. Personally, I liked the positional requirements of combat daggers and spamming something other than sinister strike. Besides, in raids you have a positional requirement as to where you stand no matter what you spec.
In WotLK, the difference in DPS for combat daggers versus other specs is much larger and I've conformed to the cookie cutter mutilate spec. I'm no theorycrafter and I find that maximizing dps is more important to me than playstyle - but not everyone has to have the same priorities.
Apr 15th 2009 3:45PM As several have mentioned, a mouse with side buttons invaluable. I use a Razer Copperhead mouse and have bound clutch abilities to all of my side buttons. Cost is somewhat prohibitive, but (for me) it was a huge improvement over a standard laser mouse. Ultimately, it made for less things I had to bind to my keyboard and allowed for each hand to be using abilities simultaneously (i.e. CoS with the right hand, followed by a vanish with the left hand a millesecond later, or a blade flurry and adrenaline rush simultaneously).
If you are considering buying a Razer, I highly recommend using Razer's mouse guide to determine the best mouse for your grip/play style.
Sep 14th 2008 11:14AM It would be nice to see affliction viable for raids. The problem I find with my affliction lock (for 10-man raids) is that trash dies before UA and Corruption are even halfway done ticking. This makes my affliction lock a shadowbolt spammer on most trash fights, and only on bosses or tougher trash does it makes sense to drop more than just corruption.
Sep 13th 2008 7:48PM Shouldn't be too upsetting, beta is by invite only.. PTR is open to everyone (usually). Most beta testers would probably rather test beta than 3.0; after all, beta has all of the 3.0 changes in it already plus umm level 80, deathknights, a new continent, etc.
Sep 11th 2008 3:12PM This is true, blue confirmed that they were simply testing the impact on patch size should they decide to update textures in the future. They have no intention of changing the textures.
Sep 3rd 2008 1:53PM netherspite must have been rough w/ just 3, unless they could kill him before the first banish phase ended (I highly doubt it).
