Feb 4th 2009 7:31PM There are probably reasons why blizz lawyers decided to go with the copyright infringement argument. One reason I would guess at is, there is probably more laws with backbone as far as penalties and fines in place to deal with copyright infringement. If blizz went with “you broke our TOS agreement” argument alone there might not be a way to make the charges stick. I know the point of this article is can a violation of a TOS agreement be a copy write issue?
That being said this glider case is pretty unique and as a whole had a very negative impact on blizzard. Will this pave the way for other companies to sue people for TOS violations? Maybe, I doubt it. I think the blizz lawyers have just utilized what they can in place for laws. Will it affect the 99% rest of us very unlikely.
Jan 9th 2009 6:15PM I think the biggest thing to remember is your wow registered email should not be the same one you regularly use. It opens up the chance for your email to be hacked. Once they are in your email account they just use the account recovery links to get both your wow account name and password. That is what happend to me and I feel pretty stupid for not thinking about it. The worst part was I dont know how they got my email password, but they did.
I got the athenticator now.. but those of you that havent got it or cant... A idea that I used for the short term was the parental controls to lock out the times when your not playing.. When your at work/school, sleeping ect. not fool proof but its another password different from your account one they would have to get to even log on.

Oct 29th 2008 12:41PM I personally think its funny when people think closing accounts especially 2 of the 4 you own is saying something to blizzard. Im mad at Blizzard but only 50% mad?
This event was fun and new for the majority of people.
The event did exactly what it was meant to do create chaos. (I just wish it had a better ending and/or was on longer )
For those who think Blizzard should not do world events and leave everything just the way it was when you logged off the night before just load wow on a private server and guess what, your quest npc's will never die and you can afk wherever you want.
Oct 19th 2008 7:18PM I was wondering about focus magic,.. it wont work if two mages cast it on eachother.... is this a bug or intentional... i swear it worked even yesterday, i could be wrong though.
Sep 18th 2008 1:08PM Getting the Blizzard authenticator would have been a nice perk to the collectors edition of wrath.
Sep 9th 2008 5:58PM I think A tax % system might be a bit much, however some kind of membership fee at a set amount per month/week whatever would work well. If the GM could control what rank or what specific characters would be subject to the membership fee, it would work quite well to save money for more tabs, let your tank repair for free ect.
