Ecclestone reportedly working on bringing U.S. Grand Prix to New York {Autoblog Archive}

Apr 4th 2010 2:33PM @Ektor

What if they decide to repave the entire course? New York might consider hosting the race if they get their streets done over for free.

Video: Biker lowsides on Mulholland, gives CHP an excuse {Autoblog Archive}

Mar 30th 2010 8:44PM I don't see how he did anything wrong here... Cop was a moron and should have instantly got out to help instead of driving two feet and turning his lights on. If anything, the cop is the one breaking the law by idling his car like that.

Forum Fodder: Dealer accidentally remote starts customer's Mustang right into a pond? *UPDATE {Autoblog Archive}

Mar 26th 2010 5:00PM I'm just confused as to how the car actually drove? If the car was in gear when it was turned on the engine should have stalled, and any lurch you would get from stalling is probably not going to push the car through a fence and in to a pond. You shouldn't even get a lurch to begin with since the clutch was always engaged. It seems to me that the only thing that would happen is that the engine would die when you try to start it with the clutch in and the car in gear. Can anyone explain to me why this is not so?

Manual Labor: 3-pedal Ferrari California slower, less efficient {Autoblog Archive}

Mar 22nd 2010 8:07PM @Neptronix

"Look at fuel economy ratings for throttle-by-wire automatic cars vs. manual cars.... the automatics often get better mpg :/"

No. Why don't you come look at the fuel economy ratings for my 20 year old CRX. Manual, 1.5 litre, 108 HP, 2000 LBS, 50 MPG easy if you can drive it right. Not to mention there are people pushing over 300 HP and still getting 38 or high MPG ratings. Your fuel efficiency is all about power to weight ratio. If Ferrari actually cared about efficiency you would get a bone stock car and not one with stupid additions on it. Not to mention in a CRX you don't need to even have that much horsepower to kill the quarter miles, and still have amazing handling. It's so lightweight it just gets up and goes. The California costs almost $200,000 and weighs over 3,500 lbs, for only 450 HP... Efficient cars haven't been made for a LONG time. And I said cars... Hybrids and Nanos are not cars.

Toyota asks ABC News for apology, retraction of Brian Ross report {Autoblog Archive}

Mar 20th 2010 8:20PM @FitFan
"Please, tell me what you would have had them do in that situation?"

I wouldn't have had them pull a socialist move or steal tax payers money, that's for damn sure. Laissez-Faire, look it up. It's the only constitutional way to run this country.

CHP report seemingly sides with Sikes on case of the Runaway Prius {Autoblog Archive}

Mar 20th 2010 8:09PM @Richard S.
No, it is not possible. Nobody on the earth would have the strength to shift a transmission in to reverse at speed. And if it were possible, the gears would definitely go shooting right through the transmission.

You need to spend money to make money. Plain and simple. It's business.
