Apr 25th 2009 8:56AM Two more: turkey legs!
Apr 22nd 2009 7:43PM Whenever my guild manages a particularly satisfying battle, we all /train overlapping each other.
Apr 14th 2009 8:19AM DUNGEON MAPS!
Although I've been excited about Call Stabled Pet for weeks as well, and really looking forward to having my ammo bag slot freed up.
If only Rhino Bowling wasn't going away, I would be sublimely happy. As it stands, I am merely happy. :)
Apr 4th 2009 3:53AM I've just finally finished my Skyguard grind and am ready to flaunt my nether ray mounts, plus the white proto-drake. I have that moment of suspense every week when I open my Oracle egg, too, hoping for the green drake. I've been saving the quests in Icecrown to do with my questing partner, and we're playing through those now whenever we're both on, and I've been joining pickup groups for Outland dungeons for some reason.
It never fails to amaze me, how vast this game is.
I'm also on book four of the Temeraire series, and attempting WoW-related fanart that will most likely never see the light of day.
@Adam Holisky: Winter, for Outland, and Shatt!
Mar 31st 2009 12:03PM The way the ghostly forms look spinning slowly up into the falling snow, I often alt-Z and aim my camera up to watch them go. Thunderfall has become one of my favorite areas in the game because of this effect.
Just one of those oddly enjoyable things.
Mar 21st 2009 2:17PM Reveling in the glory of graphics turned all the way up on my newly-built first dedicated gaming computer. Did you know that the streetlamps in Dalaran flicker from time to time? I didn't!
Even dailies and running mid-30s friends through Gnomer have a fresh new flavor.
Feb 12th 2009 11:05PM I laughed way harder at that than is in any way justifiable.
In fact, I'm still laughing.
Feb 2nd 2009 10:36AM I always jump when breaking my Feign Death, so it looks like my flattened-out corpse pops up into the air.
Considering all the habitual tics I have when driving, washing dishes, etc., I have surprisingly few in-game. Since probably /cheering at every Spirit Beast pet I see doesn't count.
Plus the jumping into instances thing. I just like to see myself suspended in the air, really.
Jan 27th 2009 10:22AM About the article linked to by the No Geek Left Behind blurb... personally, I don't think that a "sense of awe inspired by the unattainable" is worth much.
For raiders who like to be challenged, I can see how it would be disappointing to work through all the content currently available and think, "Now what?" and find themselves sitting and waiting for something more difficult. But that's coming, right? More dungeons in future patches, more challenges and achievements if you don't have enough now to keep you busy.
It puzzles me that a casual player would feel let down that we can see so much of a game. As someone who prefers to solo, and therefore isn't going to see a lot of the current dungeon content until the *next* expansion, when I'm overlevelled and overgeared for it... Well, let's just say I am not disappointed with how far I can reach into Northrend by myself. The Wrathgate was in no way anticlimactic, nor is being able to see so much of the storyline and lore, being able to attain achievements and titles and mounts by myself - or maybe with the help of a couple of friends or a PuG or two.
I'd like to say to Sean Sands: don't worry. I'm sure they'll add more content/dungeons/gear in future patches that will be out of your reach, if you really like that sort of thing.
Jan 23rd 2009 11:12AM I used Baby Spice on the guy riding the mammoth and standing over the Winter Veil presents in IF on December 25th. He shrieked and fussed about it, too, but - FOILED.
