Patch 4.1 PTR: New WoW Trading Card Game loot {WoW}

Feb 25th 2011 3:07AM I totally read that as "War of the Elephants".

>.<

The Queue: Flop {WoW}

Feb 20th 2011 4:28PM Do you mean the screen turned red or your character turned red? The screen effect happens for two reasons that I know of in TH:
1) You're about to be pwned by Deathwing.
2) You're flying over the Crucible of Carnage while Emberscar the Devourer is up.

Breakfast Topic: What's your favorite dungeon or raid memory? {WoW}

Feb 18th 2011 8:24AM For a one off event: killing Vezax. No he wasn't a hard boss or anything, my raid group just had an inordinate amount of trouble with him. Screwed up kiting, missed interrupts, healers not adjusting to the mechanics... we just couldn't piece it all together for the kill. (As an indication of our otherwise skilled group, we two-shot Yogg the first time we met him).

Overall though, add my voice to the chorus of "KARA!". I can't see a situation in the near future when that place will be topped. Fantastic instance in every way.

Breakfast Topic: To "grats" or not to "grats" {WoW}

Feb 14th 2011 9:25AM My qualifier is "Was that person trying to get that achievement?".

Levelling, dungeons, rep grinds, holiday events and the like tend to get a gratz (or, more commonly in my case, a "WOO!").

If you stumble across something and get 10 points for it (completing daily quests, looting x amount of gold, exploration), I tend not to bother.

Around Azeroth: Stranded at the altar, branded a fool {WoW}

Feb 12th 2011 10:08AM 10/10 for the Grease reference.

Breakfast Topic: What post-launch game features do you most appreciate? {WoW}

Jan 26th 2011 10:14AM Came here to say exactly this. Not having to change gryphons at every stop is to this day probably the best quality-of-life change they have made.

Around Azeroth: Insert joke here {WoW}

Jan 15th 2011 11:15AM If I could turn back time.
If I could find a way....

Cataclysm Beta: Build 12942 restoration shaman changes {WoW}

Sep 11th 2010 2:14AM Im guessing LHW got renamed because... it's not actually THAT much 'lesser' than HW itself. It heals for roughly the same amount, just with a shorter cast time and massive increase on mana cost. The 'Lesser' tag didnt seem to make a great deal of sense. Healing Surge, on the other hand, fits the spell (and its intended use) nicely -- a quick, expensive heal.
I like the cross-over to D&D terminology, also XD
