Jul 21st 2009 11:09AM I don't think it's really asking for special treatment if they're just trying to cut down on homophobic remarks. "lol, your so gay" may not be offensive to you or to everyone in the LGBT community, but it is to some. And whether or not it's offensive, it's certainly inappropriate.
I understand that games are a place for people to unwind and let go of the stresses and political correctness of the day. But that's no excuse for letting hate speech run rampant in /2.
Jul 18th 2009 6:34PM Aww, those all sound like fun pets! My hunter ended up being a belf since I rolled it with a couple of friends, so I just couldn't let her have cute or cuddly pets. She's got the cobweb-legged spider from Icecrown, an orange worm from Desolace, and a pretty blue moth from the Draenei island. Plus her loyal cockroach that follows her everywhere :P
May 19th 2009 3:11PM I was really sad about this :(.
The store sold shirts that said things like " I heart Warcraft Pets". There were a couple that featured a shadow-like image of a pet, no details or anything. I was hoping to get a couple to wear to Blizzcon, but I guess that isn't gonna work out.
If Blizz offered their own pet merchandise, I could see this being a thing to get mad over; but as of now us pet collectors have no way to 'officially' show our pet pride.. hence why stores like Breanni's existed in the first place.
Fail on Blizz's part.
May 12th 2009 3:42PM Now that would be AWESOME.
May 12th 2009 3:41PM I love this little guy :). My fiance and I are going to be trying to snag tickets as part of our Honeymoon Roadtrip of Awesome later this year, but even if we don't manage I think I'll get this guy through Pay-Per-View.
I played Starcraft long before WoW got me into the Warcraft Universe.. so many memories. Go Kerrigan!
May 10th 2009 10:52AM I'm a WoW mommie too :). My little girl is still a little thing, but she loves to sit on my lap and say 'meow' when I shift to cat form :P
May 7th 2009 10:47AM @James - The reason your guild is having trouble is because instances are supposed to be hard until you get a more then a couple of pieces of gear from the instance itself. Ulduar 10 isn't balanced around a group in Naxx 10 gear.. it's balanced around a mix of Ulduar/Naxx gear. So just keep knocking out the first couple bosses for a few weeks and wait til your raid's a bit more geared.
To answer the question, my guild's still working through 25 Ulduar. We finally downed Hodir for the first time last night, and are going back and hoping to down Freya and Thorim tonight.. we're getting so close to ol' Yoggy!
I myself am mostly spending time on my main working towards my own personal achievement.. 100 vanity pets. I'm at 96 so far, so just need a few more.
Apr 29th 2009 3:20PM I agree, these nerfs are really ridiculous. The first week of 3.1, my guild downed FL and fought Razorscale for two days without downing her. Then the next week they nerfed her and we took her down after a night of wipes, then spent a night wiping on XT and downed her the day after.
This week, we went in and did FL with two towers up, one-shotted Razorscale and XT, captured WG and downed Emalon all within our 3 hour raid time. There's just no challenge anymore. Downing those bosses after a full night of wipes was such an awesome feeling.. but going in there and one-shotting them all because of mega-nerfs just leaves a bad feeling.
Apr 17th 2009 4:30PM Is that Dashboard Confessional? Oh, how I used to love them in my highschool days :P
Apr 16th 2009 10:48AM I love my Twilight Drake.. I rolled a 99 the first day we downed Sarth 3D.
But honestly, I want a blue drake so much more!
