Sep 15th 2008 8:08PM Eversor, I know it was a "PvE" game to begin with, but at the end of the day, there is still no feeling or fear of the impending doom facing the kingdom.
Metal_Gear you are just deadset rude, and in response I will totally rebutt your comments. I can say what I like when I like, if your a WoW fanboy so be it, but don't god damn tell anyone else what they can and can't say. Wrath is only being "hurried" along due to WAR, be un der no illusion. Also the little tidbits like "Achievements", gearing from PvP encounter bosses etc etc are definitely inspired from WAR, ya don't have to be Einstein to work that one out. And why the big pally changes? After 5 years of being shafted, finally getting looked at and put on similar ground to other classes, why would that be?
I am not trolling, as I said I have played WoW for 2.5 years and love the game, but I am frustrated with certain mechanics in the game, and the drawbacks of some classes.
As far as turd mixing goes, people who flame people for having an opinion is the more likely culprit.
Sep 15th 2008 7:46PM To the morons who bother posting rgarding ret pallies whiging about being able to dps, do you think 65% of the so called "pure dps" classes is fair? Hunter/Rogue/Lock 3300dps, mage near that, Warrior near that, dps Paladin tree 65% of the top 3 = lame. Our utility atm does not warrant that. If we can't dps with the best, why bother bringing a Ret pally at all? And really there isnt a reason, if you are a lucky Ret pally like me, who does perform very well at what I do, then you may be lucky you have open minded people in raid leadership. Even I would say presently, there is no reason to bring one. You have no idea what your talking about, nor about game fun for people who have expectations, your just whingers, and if your a not so good at playing your "pure dps" class, you should be replaced by a Ret pally, and that will be the case come Wrath, and that in my eyes is very very fair. Shadow Priests are in a similar boat imao, although they do a hell of a lot more for a raid than a Ret pally atm.
Sep 15th 2008 5:13AM In comment to a few here, I myself have played Wow for 2.5 years, have had times I have had 2 month rests, it is the boring same repetative crap regurgitated. There is no feeling of threat from anything at a home city, even when under attack, it will never be sacked etc. You would never kinow that certain doom is approaching the last bastion of mankind anywhere at any stage (even though that indeed is the case). Blizzard has stolen a lot from WAR already, and have decided to rework the paladin, I wonder why, Warrior Priest anyone. I am definitely giving WAR a go, they had better have gotten the paladin right in Wrath dps wise, or im off for good.
Aug 17th 2008 5:10PM @16 Noone cares about "retpaladin.com" over there they say nothing more than anyone else can find out themselves ingame or elsewhere on the net. So Slayton seal twisted, big deal, who in there right mind wouldn't have, I've been playing paladins 2.5 years and I think I seal twisted with the SoJ/SoC a month into the game, due to the double damage bonus to a stunned target. Yes Zach might not have theorycrafted Ret paladins exceptionally well, but he's trying to help and be a little upbeat about pallies. You and your associated website diss everyone, and your no better than what anyone else can tell you off the street with half a brain. (and in fact, judging by what I seen in BG's last night, there aren't many "intelligent" people playing this game)
Jul 27th 2008 11:04PM Expertise does come into play after hit capping yourself, certainly something that shouldnt be overlooked ultimately (hopefully all ret pallies attack from behind the target to eliminate parry and other harmful effects to themselves - helping your healers a little) and so you only require enough expertise to limit dodge, effectively increasing your dps by hitting more in this regard (as per hit rating, less misses, dodges, parries = more dps).
Jul 27th 2008 8:23PM Basically if you gear yourself with these items, your more than ready for kara lol. I was in Blues on my Ret pally pumpin out near 5-600dps in kara, with these items you should be raid buffed doing 850-950 dps+ without totems. I mean if you've got some of these badge epics, your gonna wanna be in SSC/TK and beyond, not in kara, you'll need to do kara to get enough badges for the badge items lol.
Jun 10th 2008 5:38PM I'm rather hoping that we get to change facial features as well. I'm one of the poor guys who made his original toon on my friends PC (had a very ordinary graphics card in it) and he looked ok back then, when I returned home to play the next day he looked terrible lol, bald, bushy eyebrows, big nose etc etc and too pale. I would pay $10 to be able to customize the lot for sure. I still play him, but when I get a decent looking helmet I have it on at all times lol. So ultimately hope we get more than dance and just hair.
