Feb 9th 2011 9:37PM This sounds like a really great application!
Oct 28th 2009 10:14PM I think that the problem with Ghostcrawler's theory is the fact that most of the people that hate the hybrid tax are the people that love their class, but only like to dps. Most of them play one role, not switch roles because the class is the most fun to them as a dps class. Sure most all of them have separate sets of gear for their other roles, but that is because their class can do that and if there is a lack of that role they would rather run something succesfully than go through an instance working around the lack of roles. If they could delete their other roles and play as their class without a hybrid tax, there would be a whole lot less hybrids playing.
I don't play anymore because one of the best things in the game to me was using skill to place highest on the dps meters and defeat bosses (although I would rejoin if there was a way to play hybrids as pure classes). I played the game competitively, but I hated PVP so the only way to play how I wanted was to play dps. I learned from a wise man once that there are four levels of groups; Mob, Cooperative, Competitive, and Like-Minded. Mobs are groups with members that have no allegiance and work out of outside forces. Cooperative groups are those with members that will work with each other to achieve something, but not much else. Competitive groups have members that work with each other to achieve something and do that better though competing with each other for fun. Finally Like-Minded groups have members that think alike, move the same, and help each other when needed because they realize that their goal is the most important and they do not need competition because everyone is compelled enough to not need it. I was a competitive player in mainly competitive guilds because I see WoW as purely a game and something to have fun with. The fun I derive from any activity I am in is based on my drive towards a goal. My main goal was to be the best player, although my side goals were progress-based. Therefore all my fun came from competing.
This is not the final thing though. Based on what I have said you could tell me to reroll a pure. That is where we bring up the issue of class again. Most dps hybrid players prefer their hybrid class because it is simply more appealing to them than the pure classes. I, however do not have an explenation as to why this is, but I believe it is something in a player's attitude and lifestyle.
Therefore, Ghostcrawler's theory is wrong because it is not Blizzard's decision to choose what a person will and will not like and dislike.

Jul 20th 2008 11:02PM I think Roleplayers don't like PVP or raiding because, they want to RP, but out of those 25 people maybe 5 out of 25 want to and it just ruins it?
Jul 14th 2008 1:01PM I think that leveling should be faster. Plainly stated, I believe it takes too long to level and I can't stand the amount of time you spend in badly designed zones, so I just don't ever get to leveling my alts...
