Dec 27th 2010 12:38AM Decided to go a bit different from the norm with my Goblin Death Knight (whom I will race change my main into).
His name is Loozin, one of the unluckiest goblins in the world. His name alone already set him up for a life of failure. Muscled out of his alchemy business in Kezan by a Trade Prince's goons, he travels to Booty Bay, but fails due to being unable to compete. He discovers opportunity and an untapped market in far-off Quel'Thalas, and so travels there on a rickety zeppelin made with the remainder of his savings (which of course falls apart by the time he gets there). Loozin sets up his new home and business just in time for the invasion of Prince Arthas and his Scourge.
I found part of the article interesting. Specifically, where if a Goblin is not motivated by greed or materialism, there would have to be a very good reason, because it's a part of their livelihood. I can't think of a better reason for someone to lose a part of themselves by dying. During his time in the Ebon Blade, Loozin discovers that he makes a far better hero than businessman.
He returns from the Northrend front and the Lich King's defeat in time to experience Deathwing's shattering, and that is where his true story begins. While he's no longer driven by gold or greed (what does a dead person need money for?), he's still a snarky, clever, bombin' hero who ultimately sides with the Horde.
