Mar 22nd 2012 11:24PM If we're killing Garrosh because he's been corrupted by demons... I think that would be q really stupid and cliché and lame retread. Why can't he just have gone off the deep end of his own free will? If it's corruption, why not something new... maybe a Sha has possessed his soul?
Mar 21st 2012 9:33PM Amen. Hit the nail on the head. They're 'correcting' Garrosh, but where is the reckoning for Sylvanas? The use of Val'kyr is probably the main reason continuing Argent neutrality is so ridiculous to me.
Mar 15th 2012 4:26PM "In Cataclysm ... there were plenty of surprises in Cataclysm, but I think the biggest shocker to me was the first chapter of Thrall: Twilight of the Aspects. I definitely was not expecting what went down, and it took me completely by surprise."
This is annoying. Cataclysm is Cataclysm. A computer game which I paid for. Other products are not Cataclysm. I don't buy the novels, even though I have to read synopses of them online to keep up with the story.
Mar 14th 2012 5:13PM Can we get an objective and logical discussion of undead morality, or lack thereof, in the next part, please?
I have been arguing with some strident Alliance fanboys (mostly just one, who has been put on ignore by many posters, actually) on the official Story Forum about whether or not being undead inherently means you are evil. To me the fact that some undead CHOOSE to abandon Undercity society in favor of the Argent Dawn shows that there is nothing about being undead that forces you to be an evil being.
I argue that while the condition of undeath is itself evil and certainly makes it difficult to choose a noble path, undead beings with free will are no more *inherently* evil than any other sentient being, and the trend towards 'evilness' over 'goodness' among free undead is due more to their emotional detachment from the living. In other words, they're more inherently amoral than immoral. More existentialist libertarians stuck in a tricky geopolitical position than simply evil monsters.
Also, can we get an analysis of to what extent Sylvanas is using powers of mind control on the newest Val'kyr risen 'recruits' ? (If all undead are not inherently evil, most of them certainly choose to take refuge in Sylvanas' guidance, which has become pretty blatantly evil.)
Feb 23rd 2012 7:41PM I think you should post your ideas here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4015343353?page=1
Feb 23rd 2012 7:37PM @Lemons "A faction of Draenei that hates demons with an even greater passion than Azeroth's Draenei would NEVER employ warlocks."
IDK about that, I thought this idea ("Dark Eredar") was pretty compelling: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4015343353?page=15#296
Feb 23rd 2012 7:29PM Not to mention enough Furbolgs for both factions to adopt a tribe.
Feb 17th 2012 3:37PM Guild perks have already killed small guilds. Personally I loathe the way the new guild levels work and wish they'd rethink the whole thing.
Feb 11th 2012 1:35PM QftQ: There is a mondo sized thread on the MoP forum right now about Draenei Warlocks. (My favorite idea here: http://us.battle.net/wow/en/forum/topic/4015343353?page=15#296 ) What does the Queue think about unorthodox race/class combos like this, Undead Paladins or something like Druids for Gnomes going forward? The ultimate demise of lore? Unbelievably awesome? Something in between? And how would you assess the success of the new combinations added in Cataclysm? Did Blizzard sell you on Tauren "paladins" and Night Elf mages or did their implementation leave much to be desired?
Feb 5th 2012 12:48PM "Why are we no longer allowed to requeue as a different role when someone leaves the party while using the dungeon finder?"
Woah, when did that happen? Idk how many times it's been helpful to be able to switch to Discipline or have a DPS switch to tanking just to keep the run going faster. I have never seen or conceived of a situation in which that option was abused. ugh.
