Aug 18th 2008 9:49AM Okay, first of all, I just wrote a massive anti elitest rant because I notice a lot of them falling out of the woodwork latley, I deleted it because I dont want to read their bitching rants, who wants to read mine right?
But seriosly, I have re-rolled on a lot of servers and I dont know what these people are talking about, a level 20 with level 12 skills....? I have even been able to level Tailoring/Enchanting, Mining/Blacksmithing, Leatherworking/Skinnings, toons as a first character and still have money for my skills, mount, and a little bit of "extra gear". Has it been that long that these people have forgotten what its like to put together the best you can with quest/drop gear? There is a line you have to draw when your leveling, what is more important, gear or skills. Now, depending on your toon you can avoid certain skills that you know you wont use for a while and get them later (ie rightous defense for pallys at low levels, sentry totem etc) but you just cant afford the prices of the AH to regear blues every 3 or 4 levels, it just doesnt happen. If you try to I hope you can do A LOT of white dmg because your skills wont do diddly squat against the mobs your facing, especially casters who are likely to see "resist" come up a lot.
Aug 17th 2008 10:11AM Okay, maybe I am missing something, but the Nexus, home of Malygos, is in a STARTING AREA?! So Malygos, the original wielder of magic, imbued by the titans themselves to be one of the 5 aspects that essentially hold the world of azeroth together or at least from falling into complete chaos, is a LKnewb dungeon boss?! Yes lets down the strongest magic user known as a 75? elite. He's an aspect he should be stronger then Arthas. Even archimonde was scared of the ascpects on their own and actually shook when he saw 4 of them with their flights.
Aug 17th 2008 9:51AM Wow this apparently stirred up some emotions, aparently you love or hate pallys in LK. Personally, I love them, I think all the changes are great. What holy/healing pallys are going to have to remember is with the gear normalization its going to change the way your talents effectively work in relation to your gear, and ranged dps spell gear will increase you healing and your dps.
And while this is a bit off topic, I wouldnt bank on that Righteous Shield staying all the way to live, or, if it does, bank on a nerf. We are already the kings of AoE ( I know mages technically have more AoE Dps but we have better survivability) and even with their changes Warriors AoE tank will be well, laughable as per usual. Now they are giving us a warriors 2nd biggest threat generator? Dont get me wrong, I would love the spell the way it is, and they demands for me to tank are going to go through the roof, however it just doesnt seam fair to warriors. But thats just me.
Aug 16th 2008 11:34AM grrr that was supposed to be @1
Aug 16th 2008 11:33AM I think they call it metamorphasis (/in sarcastic tones), you get to look like illadian and spam shadow bolt :P
Aug 16th 2008 11:32AM something like this -> http://wotlk.wowhead.com/?talent=LV0cZVVhVxxRVuoxsxbI with some good str, haste, hit gear
Aug 16th 2008 11:27AM I would like to see some more information about the seemingly improved AoE ability of Warriors. I dont get me wrong Rossi, I love your column but I am really interested to see the synergy between incite, cruelty, imp cleave, and imp tc. It might seam like a stretch, through the trees, especially going to teir 3 for a "lack-luster" talent like imp cleave, but a 20% chance to get a crit with it by talents alone, meaning probably an average geared leveling warrior will have a about a 30-40% chance to crit with TC, HS or Cleave and then of course imp cleave and tc inc dmg caused by those skills. Hell Imp Cleave + Incite + TG for leveling, with a bit of haste gear.....instead of tanking I might actually switch to fury/dps
Aug 15th 2008 11:14AM Suddenly rolling a warrior for wrath seems like a bad idea, perhaps I should go back to my pally, he's only what, 20 levels behind my warrior right now....
Aug 14th 2008 2:37PM People who dont like the armor, it still fits for Rhonin being more of a battle mage and lore backing that he can use martial weapons almost as well as magic.
And other then you know, killing his own people without caring, turning against his people, making pacts with nefarious demons, killing hundreds of innocents, and then taking control of the legion in outlands, whats so bad about the fact that Rhonin helped Illidain learn who to harness his magic better. He didnt teach, Illidian was already a potent caster when he met rhonin and already the most powerful sorcerer amoungs the NE
Aug 14th 2008 2:24PM WOOT! Lore nerd here, and personally, I think rhonin is pretty awsome. Too bad brox is dead :(. Wonder who's next, these two in the citadel and Krasus in Dragonbligh woot!
