Jul 30th 2009 11:48AM I have to go back to vanilla WoW to find the best instance I've ever run. There were five of us who were planning on making a serious attempt at a Baron Run (45 Minute Undead Stratholme Clear). One of the hardest things to do at the time, especially in non-raid gear, which we were in.
It was our first attempt, we wanted to try a dry run just to get the mechanics down, no potions/elixirs. We ended up completing the run with a few seconds to spare, and downed the Baron with only 4 people as our hunter got locked outside, for a reason I can't remember now.
Mar 6th 2009 2:38PM Drakuru was turned to a Death Knight right in front of our eyes and he was alive. So this correlates with Alex's theory that DKs don't have to die to become DKs.
Feb 13th 2009 11:34AM My hopes for dual specs was to relieve the severe lack of healing/tanking while leveling on some servers. Players leveling up can get all the way to 80 without doing a single instance, sometimes because they choose not to, but mostly because they can't find the right group composition. If players could go back and forth while leveling one would think finding the right group would be easier. My hope was to do this with my pally who's at 73 right now, switch from ret for questing to holy for instances.
Jan 29th 2009 10:04AM I'm sure (hopefully) that something like this was mentioned already, didn't have the time to read all 4 pages of comments.
With all the shortcuts at the end of instances in Wrath that require large falls into pools of water, my favorite thing to do as a shaman, well you probably guessed it by now, pop water walking on them and watch the group fall to their deaths. Most people notice when I pop them with the buff, but every once and awhile I still catch someone not paying full attention.
Jan 15th 2009 1:00PM 1:67 Alliance to Horde, pfft. I'm an ally on Ravenholdt, according to WarcraftRealms ratio of Alliance to Horde levels 70-80 is 1 : 2.3.
I've been in Wintergrasp with tenacity stacked to 17 once.
Wish Blizz would do something about that.
Jan 8th 2009 6:08PM These changes aren't nearly enough to help our once proud class. Raid DPS will hopefully increase for elementals here, but the forums are exploding from the Shaman community simply because we're not viable in PVP.
Has anyone even tried an arena as a shaman, it's impossible. If you're not resto you're dead in 5 seconds, and if you are resto you're dead in 10. Matt please cover the painful experience of shaman PVP. The great changes of 3.0 were supposed to even out the class differences in arenas, if you're a shaman and you like to pvp things are worse than ever before.
Dec 17th 2008 10:08AM Similar to your assessment of the elemental shaman set, the enhancement shaman set (aka hunter set) is lacking hit rating, and you'll probably want to mix in some hit rating to that gear.
It's going to be an interesting first few months in the arenas as we'll see some specs/classes more readily that weren't relevant in arena play last time around.
Dec 2nd 2008 3:34PM Just a quick comment on this article and other similar ones: You guys did a great job of warning about spoilers in all your beta threads and some of us are still getting through the content. Could you add in some spoiler warnings for the benefit of us slow levelers. There weren't too many here, but there are some articles I don't even click on to read just in case, a warning of spoilers would help us decide to click or not to click.
Dec 1st 2008 5:11PM I've ran Violet Hold twice and it dropped both times. My guess is that it's a pretty frequent drop in instances around that level.
Nov 6th 2008 2:35PM As of now a 1 in 900 shot, go go mount.
