Jul 25th 2008 10:18AM i thought i'd read on here somewhere that the devs had seen the mistakes they made with the uber outland greens replacing previous WoW epics and that they wouldn't be making that same mistake again. That said who knows how they'll work the gear process for wrath but i truly believe it wont be a matter of replacing Arena gear with a lvl71 wrath green.
Aside from that, it doesn't make sense for them to have just released the S4 Brutal Arena gear to then release wrath a month later along with better gear.. i'm sure they'll be wanting to drag season 4 out for a little longer at least until after Xmas even.
Jul 25th 2008 9:57AM from what i can make of watchin the beta vids it does indeed look very OP.. (only from what you can get from watchin the vids) i'm curious to see how they will balance the DK into PvP against all the other classes.
With all the silencing attacks i'm sure casters are gonna have a rough time.. i guess we'll just have to watch this space
Jul 24th 2008 7:16AM @ ILikePvPbuthatePvPers
it would appear that someone completely missed the point of PvP realms. Its not to label it as elite, i personally just find them alot more fun due to the auto PvP tagging in zones. I played Argent Dawn for over a year due to my friend starting there and me been a noob to the game (it had only just been released afterall) MAJOR YAWN springs to mind running around that realm, absolutely no PvP excitement as everyone runs around with PvP disabled.
After moving to a PvP server and lvlin i love it! wild horses couldn't drag me back to a PvE based realm! But thats my fancy, its not everyones cup of tea i just happen to enjoy the choice to fight whoever i want whenever i want and the need to keep an eye over your shoulder whenever ya out and about.. as you never know who's watchin you! awesome ;)
Jul 20th 2008 2:34PM FINALLY!!
i've only be sayin this for the past 2 years! that you should be able to slap your enchant on a scroll or parchment (bought from general traders) and sold on AH...
well... better late than never i suppose.
Jul 20th 2008 3:06AM I've never used an auto updater and always go over to the wowace beta download page once a week to go through checking for updates and download them manually!! oh and i use over 70 addons.
Jul 20th 2008 2:56AM i'll third that!
Bagnon is simplicity in itself and has never caused me errors. In performance it doesnt even list in my top 10 number 1 reading in at 1.3mb... so can't grumble there either.
Thing with addons that people forget, not only do you want a good usable addon it MUST NOT be a memory hog either.
Jul 18th 2008 9:38AM yup the intro does indeed invoke the want to become a DK.. lets hope it lives up to all the hype and isn't just an over inflated ego soon to be left on the shelf to gather dust.
i'm lovin the ebon hold looming ominously in the sky over lights hope chapel.. that's just pure pwnage!.. oh wait dog darn minute.. how do we all get down from here?!?
Parachute cloak anybody? :P
Jul 18th 2008 9:12AM "a lot of customization will be available in the form of new horns for tauren"
You're kiddin me right? last i looked.. horns were attached to the skull and predifined! hell why don't we just change night elf ears whilst we're at it?!
if this was customizable it could only really work on lessening currently existing horns ie, broken in battle. i can't see changing size to be bigger or the shape and colour to be different would work.
i like the idea of changing hair, facial hair and decoration though ;)
Jul 17th 2008 10:34AM I was a founding member of a non guild raiding community on Argent Dawn back in the days as well.. it just goes to prove that with a little organising and fair play to the leader for sorting out a web page to view accrued DKP's this kind of Raid structure is more than viable.
So when i see those Raiding communities that absolutely require you to join their guild forcing you to leave your current one before you can raid with them I feel is complete poppycock.
So fair play to you guys ;)
and to my original post, my mistake i couldn't be arsed to read through a long winded blog to find out you wasn't actually a guild.. though i'm sure some bonds are formed along the way so those wishing to add you to their KoS may still want to watch their six :p
Jul 17th 2008 10:28AM i love heated discussions!
oh how i lol'd >.
