WoW Rookie: Do you have time to raid? {WoW}

Oct 14th 2009 12:11PM Your gapping error is that when you decide to raid, you move from WoW being a game to WoW being a social event. There are now 9 or 24 other people waiting for you to show up as promised. Yes RL happens and you likely can't make every week or every raid, but be considerate of your fellow raiders and plan ahead. If you can't commit to consistent schedule, you can still raid...there called PUGs (Pick Up Group).

The best analogy I can give you is: If it were "Bowling Night" (I know, I am dating myself) you wouldn't bail on your buddies because your sig-other is in a mood. Just because you don't see your fellow raiders face to face, doesn't make them any less of a person. Raid is a commitment too. Be sure you are considering everyone involved, and not just yourself.

A little advise from a happily married guy...learn to manage relationship aggro. If your significant other expects you to drop everything because they want you to, you relationship is going to suck. It's fine at first, but as any person in a long term relationship will agree, you have to respect eachothers individual life too. You need "me time" and so does she...plan ahead.

Drama Mamas: Loot and leaving early {WoW}

Jul 31st 2009 2:45PM In Defense of the Hasty PUGger:

What were you running? The flip side of the coin, that isn't covered here, is your painfully lathargic PUG leaders.

Example:

H-VoA: We have 23 people, waiting for the RL to fill last 2 slots. Most are in the instance ready to go, so some says "Lets start clearing Trash". RL, gets bent out of shape and says in /rw "Just wait, no one is in a hurry". Keep in mind this is a complete PUG taking place around 4:30 pm server time. I respond to the RL saying, "To be fair, some of us our in a hurry, we have a raid at 5:00pm".

I was verbally abused by the RL, and then booted from the raid. In hind sight, it is a win for me, because it was a dreaded Emalon wipefest. But, my point is, haste is just common curtousy in a PUG. Yes, you shouldn't group if you don't have the appropriate time. But... BUT, there are many instances/raids that don't and should not take >20 mins to complete. "Lolly gagging" because you don't have anything better to do is just as rude as squeezing in somthing you don't truley have time for.

I have regularily jumped into a PUG for quick content (VoA/OS) with ~30 mins before another engagement. They are quick, they are easy and should be handled accordingly.

3.0.2 for Feral Druids {WoW}

Oct 14th 2008 11:53AM Also,

Bear tanks may want to cosider getting out of the resto tree all together. I would argue that Infected wounds is as important if not more so that naturalists. 10% reduction in attack speed is a lot of mitigation you are leaving out. Remember healers can't downrank and only can pop one potion...mana's gonna be tight. Mitigation will be more important than damage out put.

Plus beserk is a must have, period. Crazy TPS to make up for some lost threat without Naturalist.

Dump your resto tree talents until you have the feral talents needed.

Oct 14th 2008 11:41AM I would drop the shapeshifter junk but keep Naturalist. 2% dmg per point in naturalist is a much better investment that the
