Apr 4th 2012 10:08AM Think you likely confusing "Shock and Awe" with "oh, rogue with legendaries propping him up" which is deserving of a /mock and a /lol at best.
/shrug. Whatever makes you feel skilled.
Apr 3rd 2012 7:36PM He didn't say "the American accent". He said "an American accent". Surely someone from Texas has an American accent, same as someone from Munich has a German accent.
I think what Possum was trying to get across was surprise that someone was surprised that someone of ethnicity had a local accent (in this case Newfoundland); and surely people of ethnicities who grow up elsewhere in would have an American accent (local to the area obviously).
For instance, in the UK there is a well known Black comedian called Lenny Henry, who has a strong Dudley accent (similar to a Birmingham accent), which is a British accent.
Apr 1st 2012 9:04AM Technical details, like Talent changes, Ability alterations, changes to mechanics, professions, things like that I'm not bothered about - they generally increase your ability to play.
But story lines and instance themes (where they break a story reveal), I'd prefer not to read about. I enjoy questing, and I like the storylines - but I prefer to experience them as the writers intended them to be experienced, not set out in a bulletpoint form that someone has knocked up for a website.
Basically, if it's information I could learn by reading the relevant set of patch notes, then I'm fine with it being "spoiled". Otherwise, would rather not.
So long as posts are sufficiently spoiler marked (such as the earlier Theramore video, which I did not look at), it's fine if people want to discuss it. I merely ask that the discussion be limited to those posts, so as to maintain the poster's spoiler warnings.
Mar 28th 2012 9:36AM The Keyring was a Data Storage problem. Each character on the server had X amount of data allocated to remember which keys were owned, how many, which bag slot they were in. Removing the Keyring allowed the now freed Data-per-character on the server to be reused on other per-character concepts - like Transmogrification, Pet Battles, etc.
This LFG/LFR change is merely a User Interface upgrade. There is no technical difference between clicking through the pre-5.0 or post-5.0 versions - the result when pressing the "Queue" button is the same. It merely looks flashier, and is ideally easier (or more intuitive) to use.
Mar 25th 2012 3:33PM I expect will be near identical to Druids in statistic respects (merely lacking a ranged DPS spec). Agility Leather for Tanking and Melee, Int Leather for Healing.
Is some thought may be proper Tanking Leather now two classes can use it, but pure speculation at this point.
Mar 24th 2012 10:04PM Question about AoE Looting:
If you have a full inventory, do you get a list of unlootables, or does the process simply stop, leaving you unclear what has and has not been looted?
I keep a fairly full inventory, and quite often cherrypick the items i want (greens+ and cloth usually), whilst leaving the grey trash alone.
Or (preferably) are there filters in the options menu - do not loot grey items.
Mar 22nd 2012 10:15AM Hopefully sufficiently spoiler-marked.
Don't mind reading through talents, mechanics, professions, etc stuff, but with story and plot points, I much prefer to experience them myself.
Mar 15th 2012 3:52PM Highly dependent on your realm - mostly down to population. With the exception of a few fairly unique green weapon/shield looks, Greens on my realm rarely go above 30g, with most far below that.
Occasionally you get someone on /2 (trade channel) asking for a specific piece (Pridelord Leggings, etc), for a few hundred, but is too random to rely on.
Mar 12th 2012 11:31AM Simply put, don't choose those questions to answer.
Failing that, a generic "wait X more days" will cover it, though would be more teasing than strictly warranted.
Mar 8th 2012 8:26AM The Fiery Warhorse too is top of my list, but has been taunting me recently. Had it on my Hunter (who is main alt) and my Mage (a random alt) twice in 3 weeks, but my main is still going.
Other than that, last obtained "rare" was the Timelost Proto-Drake, but that was a random visit. I tried camping, but didn't get me anywhere except bored/frustrated, so contented myself with random flyovers.
Kara is the last of the soloable, non-camping mounts I have left. The others are either campers (Uldum Camel, Vash'jir Seahorse, Deepholm Drake), or unsoloable for me (most the achievements, plus Stonecore, Vortex Pinnacle, Zul'Gurub Panther, Ashes of A'lar, etc).
If going to companions too, the main soloable one I'm missing is the Baradin Fox Kit. Killed loads of them in the early weeks, then got bored and left it alone. Was only recently that I remembered it, and tried again. No joy though.
