Drama Mamas: Racism and setting social standards {WoW}

Jul 3rd 2010 3:58AM I have had a similar situation on our guild vent before. I was the raid leader and though it probably lowered the efficiency of the raid, I muted the offenders and then said in guild chat that the racial slurs needed to stop or I would get the vent admin password from our guild leader and ban them. The interesting thing was, they were talking to each other and neither had a problem with that they were saying, but the rest of the raid got very uncomfortable.

Just because you don't find it offensive to be called a racial slur doesn't mean everyone else wants to hear (or read) it.

Windows 7 plugs WoW {WoW}

Sep 10th 2009 5:42PM I really am not trying to flame or troll, but I have all three systems (I am in webdev) and when my family asks me for "what should I get" advice, I tell them (truly) that Macs don't have a low-grade option. They start at mid-grade with mac minis and macbooks and go to what I call high-grade with mac pros and macbook pros. the mini is around $600 (but you have to supply everything else) and the macbook is around $1000. Mid-grade at $1000 isn't too bad.

I think it's all what you want. Want something you can tinker with and is inexpensive to get off the ground? Go Linux. Want something that you can get for a little more money but will be compatible with 99% of the stuff out there (but has some issue imo)? Go with Windows. Want a computer that can run them all, but doesn't have a "cheap" end? Get a Mac.

So you know, I don't have 3 computers, I have 1. My Macbook Pro runs Mac OS, Windows XP, Windows 7, and Ubuntu. For me it's worth the money. I don't knock any one elses decision and feel that I get what I paid for.

Breakfast Topic: Your favorite lines of spoken dialogue {WoW}

Sep 9th 2009 7:24PM I have always thought that Keri's lines were heartbreaking when you know the lore around her story.

"Finish it! Finish it! Kill me, or I swear by the Dragonqueen you'll never see daylight again!"

On a fun note, playing a warlock you get to hear some of the best ones.

Succy: "First we'll start with a little fire. Am I bugging you, I'm not touching you, am I bugging you, I'm not touching you. There - now you're hot, and bothered."

Blueberry: "I...am...void...where prohibited"

Imp: "You know, we've had a lot of fun together, it's been really special, but I think it's time I should start seeing other warlocks. Just a little on the side. No no no it's not you, it's not you, it's me. I just need my space, it's nobody's fault."

Felguard: "I play all my records backwards, sdrawkcab sdrocer ym lla yalp I."

Man those are good ones.

BlizzCon 2009: Live blogging the Cataclysm new starter zones {WoW}

Aug 21st 2009 5:38PM I was actually hoping for a Worgen Shaman and Goblin Paladin. Having another Horde race that can roll Shammy just seems like overkill, but that's just me.
