Sep 9th 2009 2:58AM What the hell is up with the lack of spirit on everything. My guild keeps saying that it's all for someone else because nothing has spirit on it. Grr...
Aug 3rd 2009 11:47AM I'm a switcher.
I started out as alliance mostly because as an old time gamer, human warriors were usually the easiest to play. Then when blood elves came out, I had to play one. Mostly because as a veteran of WC3 I had a big ol' crush on Kael'thas. He was the only non-whiny elf and just an all around bad ass.
I've always had max level toons on both sides of the fence. I do have to say though, my blood does run a little bit more to the horde side in leanings though. Maybe one day I'll take the plunge and go horde all the way.
Jul 22nd 2009 3:20AM Bruce Campbell. World of Warcraft. Sam Raimi. I ... I think I dreamed this once. It was the most glorious dream. Wait... Am I still dreaming?
Does it get any better than Bruce Campbell AND WoW together?! I'm so excited I can barely type. To make it even better, I was wearing my Army of Darkness t-shirt when I read the news.
I must raise a prayer to the gods of geekdom and WoW for bringing this day to pass.
Jul 1st 2009 12:43PM ...they are making it so I can change factions but they wouldn't let me bring my toons from the US servers to the EU servers when I moved out of the country. *sighs*
On another note, I think they would probably make it set race to set race. Such as any kind of horde shaman would have to be a draenei. Any kind of alliance paladin would have to be a blood elf. Other class and race combos would have to be in line, you couldn't have a tauren priest running around.
I think that would deter, to some extent, the number of people changing back and forth. It would also control a lot of the other problems that are presented with more open changes.
I got excited at first and the more I thought about it, the more I realized the problems it presented in the game mechanics itself. This is really the only way I can think of that you could nullify a lot of those issues.
As for whether I would change or not, if they get around to letting me transfer my characters from US to EU? In a heartbeat. I've got several alliance characters that are in desperate need of a change. The ones I have now? I'm happy where they are.
Jun 23rd 2009 6:30AM I honestly don't quite understand why healers need to hurt for mana, especially when you can only use 1 pot per fight and most guilds don't have enough druids for an innervate for all of the healers.
Is it just supposed to be a 'go gear up more' mentality or what? Really, someone explain this to me because I don't understand it.
Jun 13th 2009 2:56AM Hodir makes me want to gouge my eyes out. Maybe I'll feel differently in 3 months when it no longer seems like a choreographed cluster...
My favorites are:
The Twins - PITA but just so much fun.
Shade of Aran - It just always made me smile.
Lurker - Again, it always just made me smile when we headed to the toilet bowl.
Doom Lord Kazzak - Nothing like having it get it done in two minutes or die. It was an action packed two minutes though.
I don't really have any particular favorites from Naxx but from Ulduar I have to go with Mimiron for my favorite.
That's the short list :)
Jun 12th 2009 5:59AM When my guild was doing Kael'thas, it took us forever to get him down. This was pre-nerfs and when it was still new and that that fresh out of the plastic smell. We went back every night and beat the smack out of him and paid out repair bills until we got the bastard down.
We finally did it though and when we did, the roar that went out on vent was absolutely deafening and we were all high for a week.
You just don't get that anymore. I don't think a single fight that we've done in Ulduar, hard modes included was as hard as that single fight against Kael'thas, or Bloodboil, or Mother Sharazz, or Kil'Jaden.
I'm not even sure they've been as hard as the pvp bosses in MgT.
Just cause something is hard doesn't mean it's impossible, it just takes time to get it done but the thrill you get when you actually do it is amazing. You feel like you've done the impossible.
I think I understand the reason for their sudden and repeated nerfing. I think it has to do with the volume of content they have coming out in a fairly short amount of time. It means scaling back on things that have been common place before. It would be pretty damned sad if most people hadn't done Arthas or even Yogg when they have the Maelstrom or the Emerald Dream coming out.
With the scaling back though, you lose a lot of what drew many of us to the game in the first place.
Jun 3rd 2009 3:32AM They look about a billion times better but the cat form and the bear form I like aren't remotely the same coloring. Does this mean if I want to spend any real time in either I need to pay a ton of money at the barber for switching back and forth?
Oh well, about time!
Jun 3rd 2009 3:27AM Yeah Ice, I got it too.
I figured I'd wait until the servers are actually up to give it a try again. I was thinking maybe it was doing it because they hadn't actually finished the work for the patch to work with yet. At least I'm hoping that's what it is because I don't really relish the idea of spending all day reinstalling WoW because they broke it with the patch.
