Mar 12th 2009 11:26AM The 'bring the player not the class' change was never meant to mean that you wouldn't have to think about raid composition at all, just that we wouldn't go back to shammy/spriest stacking like in Sunwell. And if you look at it, that's been mostly achieved for 25 mans. not having a resto shammy no longer means you're unable to raid-heal, but it does mean you can't go into raids with 5 holy pallies. Conversely, not having a holy pally in the raid doesn't mean your tank-healing is impossible. As a healer I'm fine with this.
The main problem I'd have is this damn replenishment. It just doesn't seem to make sense to balance everything around one overpowered buff, and blizz's blue posts on the subject have not given (imo) a satisfactory answer. With the incoming regen nerf, I really wish they'd take another look at the way they've implemented this, emphasising a handful of specs and the intellect stat for no good reason.
Mar 12th 2009 8:12AM After having been really crap with buff foods I finally lvl'd my cooking, and always have cuttlesteak for my main and dragonfin filet for my alt, blizz did good with the dalaran dailies. My favourite food would have to be goblin gumbo, makes you belch green fumes for about 10 mins. Think it comes from the card game, a guy I raided with used to drop it all the time.
Practical food I'd like to see, buff food with some combo different from 'stat+stam'. Fun food, something that lets your character fly for a short time, that would rock
Mar 11th 2009 9:56AM That's a yes on new loot, should be dropping from a new boss in VoA I believe. No word on whether this boss will be an actual raid or a 25 man zerg again. What I'd like to know is whether the old loot will be honour bought in season 6, or whether we'll get any decent pvp weps short of being good at arena ( I suck).
Mar 11th 2009 6:06AM Andrew, you're being very inconsiderate to Elitist Jerks. As it stands all the WWS parsing and extrapolation is going to keep them busy till the next expansion. They love this stuff, don't take away their toy!
Mar 9th 2009 11:18AM I was originally Alliance and re-rolled Horde, and I think overall Horde have it easier for travelling. Onething, as a complete noob when I started as an allie, the infamous wetlands run felt really epic for me. I was running miles through unfamiliar, dangerous territory. Odd I know, but it stayed with me.
Mar 7th 2009 9:39AM On my old server, someone created an orc toon named 'dwarvessuck', ran him into IF, and left his corpse in front of the AH. Not only that, they somehow managed to die in mid-air, meaning anyone using the AH was confronted by a naked levitating green corpse insulting their race. Had to have respect for that one. Dissapeared with the weekly server reset though
Mar 6th 2009 8:27AM Tough one. I really liked both Naj'entus and Kael'thas, because as a healer they both felt like real achievements. But overall I'd say my favourite was Al'ar. Not really sure why, but always had a lot of affection for that fight. Sapphiron would be my favourite out of the WotLK content.
Mar 5th 2009 3:20AM Currently running with glyph of Coh, Flash heal and Shield on my holy priest. The first 2 I won't be changing, the 3rd I'm debating. Renew is getting buffed to make it worthwhile again, but I'm not sure higher hps/lower uptime is what I want from a hot. PoH will be awesome, so a definite candidate. The Guardian spirit glyph looks pretty good as well, but it's a slightly gimicky spell, so I'm not sure. If I got the glyph would I use it enough to make it worth it?
Mar 4th 2009 8:10AM I know you asked for suggestions, but I only just heard about the trainwrecker. This makes me so happy! Imo getting this is a higher priority than raiding Ulduar
