The Light and How to Swing It: Kitting out your tank with the new starter gear of patch 4.2 {WoW}

Jun 24th 2011 2:14PM Just fyi, you mixed up the Gigantiform bracers and Bracers of Regal force tooltips. Great article though, extremely helpful!

Best orc impression ever. I love this column!

WoW Rookie: How to choose characters to play with a partner {WoW}

May 19th 2011 3:37PM It is worth noting that playing as a healer in a pair can be difficult if you ever go solo for a little while. Since most content is geared toward a single player, being a healer can be slightly boring when you are leveling as well. I felt slightly extraneous when i leveled through cata content as a healer.

I would recommend taking 2 hybrid classes for late game, but leveling them as dual dps. The extra dps allows you to either kill things twice as fast or kill twice as many things in the same amount of time, both of which are awesome. While you are leveling as dps, pick up a healing/tanking set for your offspec (especially since dual-spec is so cheap now) and once you get to 70 or 80, switch that to your main spec. You will then be poised to enter raids as a desirable healer/tank combo, but will have leveled super fast as double dps!

Drama Mamas: What to do after inappropriate chat between wife and guildie {WoW}

Apr 22nd 2011 2:23PM Yikes...this is one of the few times I have been happy my fiancee doesn't play wow. Although I'm sure wow is just an outlet for this type of behavior for some people, so if it doesn't happen in Azeroth it probably would have somewhere else.

Know Your Lore: Interbellum part 6 -- The Coming of Rexxar {WoW}

Apr 20th 2011 2:14PM You should mention that all of the lore you are describing can be experienced in Warcraft 3 as the orc campaign. It definitely shows you how excited Blizzard was for WoW that they put it in WC3, and also shows some of the earliest ideas for questing.

WoW Archivist: The Gates of Ahn'Qiraj {WoW}

Apr 19th 2011 1:28PM Question:
Could the raid bosses actually overrun the defenses in silithus and kill the friendly NPCs? Or was it simply timed for 10 hours and at the end your side "wins" whether or not anyone participated?

Also, did some servers ring the gong at peak- and off-hours? I would be pissed if my server's gong was rung at like 11 PM on a wednesady, and the event ended 10 hours later.

Phat Loot Phriday: Unheeded Warning {WoW}

Apr 8th 2011 4:22PM This column is getting more and more sentimental as each week passes. Are you planning on killing off Lolegolas soon or something?

The Queue: Animated Ghostcrawler GIF {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2011 11:06AM I agree that tanks are desperately needed. The learning curve you speak of, however, isn't that bad. I have always healed/dps'd on my pally and I just started a tanking set. I am ilevel 350 after about a month of gearing and have run only 10 or so heroics as a tank. I don't find them difficult when things are marked and dps listen. Tanking isn't that scary. All dps should give it at try at least before they complain about the dearth of tanks.

Around Azeroth: The terrible truth behind character transfers {WoW}

Mar 22nd 2011 10:11AM So it's from somewhere in BC? I'd love if we could get context on these, outside of the little story made up every day. Some I'd like to see in person and knowing what/where they are would help.
