Jul 31st 2008 9:52PM Kill shot is nice! Not much more to say about it than that.
Jul 29th 2008 9:47PM Yeah I really don't like the look of this. I would have preferred to see an undead dragon. As it is at the moment I'd probably be picking up some other flying mount.
Jul 26th 2008 5:31AM As for the losing the exotic pet if you switched this is how I'd like to see it dealt with.
Increase the amount of stable slots we get (this should have happened ages ago imo), and then if you spec out of the exotic pet talent our pet gets sent straight to the stable (swapped for another pet if there is no room) and becomes 'greyed out' meaning we can't use the pet until we get the talent back.
I know loyalty is a thing of the past, and the new system in which pets are a maximum of 5 levels lower than you when you tame it, but you should never lose your pets. Having said that though, you should definately not be able to pick this up to tame your pet then just drop it, as everyone would do that and there would be no point it being a talent in the first place. That's why I think my above idea would work the best.
Jul 24th 2008 1:00AM Here's what I don't understand.. if I have any character over level 40, the only reason I would even consider deleting them is if I was sure I was going to use that slot for something else.
If you don't have to delete it to make room straight away, why delete it in advance, seeing as you might end up wanting to level it again one day? I mean hey, you got it to 40+ in the first place for a reason.
Jul 22nd 2008 8:23PM I just wanna say thanks for doing these posts about starting up a WoW blog. I've been getting some great ideas from them! :)
I have started up my own blog, not purely about WoW, but about general gaming at www.gamerblogged.wordpress.com
Check it out if you guys are interested and be sure to leave me feedback!
Jul 22nd 2008 6:40PM It's posts like these that make WoW insider daily reading for me :)
Made of win.
Jul 21st 2008 12:51PM "I'm surprised at all the hostility towards Mark. I agree with him, anyone spending that much time with WoW has a problem, stay-at-home mom or not. He wasn't complaining about her parenting skills, he was saying she shouldn't spend that much time in WoW no matter what."
She just said herself she DOES NOT spend that much time on WoW!
"All of you are freaking out on this poor guy, but I bet if he had phrased it a little better, you'd all be on his side. Leave him alone, seriously."
Leave him alone? He is the one that started the whole thing. His comments lead to a chain reaction of many people believing that this person actually did spend 16+ hours playing WoW a day, and in turn they have commented negatively about her because of that. We want everyone to leave the stay at home mum alone!
If SHE had phrased it a little better, then you would be on her side.
He got it wrong. It's not that his comments alone are mean and insulting, it's what he made others beleive. Sure he may have made a mistake and have done all this by accident. But he is writing for a major blogging website, not just something from his own oppinions, and we are yet to see anything in his post apologising for the mistake that he did make.
Jul 21st 2008 12:20PM In response to what you wrote Tayluca (I don't see a Reply button there for some reason), I wouldn't lose faith in WoW Insider in general for what one of their bloggers wrote.
Also I hope some of our suggestions on how to help, err.. helped!
Also! If you want to be part of a good part of the community from WoW, I'd also suggest checking out WoW Radio's website (www.wcradio.com). They have some great podcasts, but also have a great community on their forums, and on their IRC.
Jul 21st 2008 11:27AM Yes, another comment by me. I just thought I'd put this out there.
Mark Crump, I would ask you to put somewhere in this article the fact that this woman may not neccaserily play WoW for 16+ hours a day, and that this is your ASSUMPTION, which may not be true.
People are taking it as fact that this woman plays for 16+ hours a day, making comments based on this, and there is no evidence towards this whatsoever.
This is borderline defamation in my eyes.
