Jul 21st 2010 1:30PM This new concept of Bane for Warlocks is half-baked at best.
We went through a nice revamp to eliminate additional spells in the rotation and now they will add another unique spell type. Now we will need, normal spell, curse, bane and then UA/Immmolate in addition to any spec-specific spell.
I hope this goes through some additional testing before this is rolled out.
I do like the increased usability of the special summons (Infernal/Doomguard) and the early access to Felguard.
Oct 4th 2009 6:14PM Why are so many people haling this as the last major content patch before the next expansion? Clearly there will be a 3.4 content patch just as there was a 2.4 content patch.
Aug 25th 2009 6:20PM If Dwarves and Draenei get to hae seperate custom totems, then the existing Horde races deserve new ones as well. I could see if Orc/Troll were the same since they share a starting area and identical quest lines, but Tauren and Goblin should be different.
Aug 23rd 2009 5:50PM "Although we will only be gaining five character levels, the level cap for professions will indeed be going up by 75 skill points, bringing the cap to 525. Because we've already been "Grand Masters," our new title will be "Illustrious."
In case you're wondering, good old Dictionary.com indicates that this means that we will be "well-known," "highly distinguished," "renowned" and/or "famous." "
In fact the titles for professions are taken from Freemasonry and not randomly chosen from a dictionary. Of course any mason playin WoW already knew this.
Mar 9th 2009 9:08PM Well, I think you jumped the gun a bit there buddy.
This is the spec that is meant to be top for 3.1, not 3.0.
Your trial was pretty much a waste of gold IMHO.
Spend more time on EJ so that you can educate yourself and then have a better article for WI.
Mar 1st 2009 9:14PM Here would be a great change:
Binds when picked up
This way you only need one and it lasts as long as you are logged in.
Feb 24th 2009 1:10AM Mandorgan is also right about Ancient Measuring Rod it should be mentioned as well. Stats are generally more important for early raids than boosts to crit and Haste.
Feb 24th 2009 1:08AM Hi Nick,
Nice gear list. There is one typo on Ring of Northern Tears (you have Terrors.I would actually rate this ring as top for #2 slot. I still have it after several Naxx runs since priority usually goes to healers and my Warlock is an alt.
I would also mention Flameheart Spell Scalpel as others have along with Prison Manifest which is BoE.
Flameheart Spell Scalpel
Requires Kirin Tor - Revered
Equip: Improves hit rating by 34 (1.3% @ L80).
Equip: Improves critical strike rating by 25 (0.54% @ L80).
Equip: Increases spell power by 355.
Equip: Increases spell power by 51.
Equip: Improves hit rating by 50 (2.75% @ L75).
Equip: Improves haste rating by 47 (2.07% @ L75).
Equip: Increases spell power by 281.
Granted, the Chilly Slobberknocker has more hit, but I also agree with others, your suggestion to target 446 is way off the mark for an entry level raider. Careful analysis of the talent tress will reveal there are no better way to spend the talent points that should be used for Cataclysm or Suppression for aff/destro specs. If you want to raid demo as a fresh 80, good luck securing an invite. Both of these combined give you a substantial increase in dps and stats. Not to mention, both can be acquired without targeting a specific boss in hopes of a drop (you will be required to step foot in some instances to gain rep with KT).
Aug 20th 2008 10:12PM "The context of this discussion is not how removing downranking affects level BC raiding, but how it will affect WotLK raiding. Assuming that the only change to how healing will function is this downranking change will hurt your ability to heal in the expansion more than the change itself.
Expect healing to be as different from the past in WotLK as healing in BC was from Vanilla."
This is what everyone should focus on. Stop focusing on current and past content and focus on how these changes will work with the upcoming expansion.
It is just asinine to call people good and bad healers based on the use or non-use of down ranking of spells.
Jul 22nd 2008 8:55PM Exactly, I agree 100%. Alt doesn't mean same account and to give an advantage to those who have alts on the same account is inconceivable. Blizzard has never made a game change that would cause them to lose subscriptions in this manner.
It's a nice idea on the surface to be sure, but it will never happen.
