The Queue: The rum ham mix-up {WoW}

Dec 20th 2011 7:47PM I was hoping I wasnt the only one that was thinking this. I am glad we dont know who the final boss is. part of me really hopes we get a surprise and find out the real final boss of Cata is an old god's finger (or whichever appendage Blizz wants to make us fight)

Tony Hawk Pro Skater HD soundtrack likely won't be identical to old games {Joystiq}

Dec 14th 2011 7:29AM @(Unverified) Seriously. Custom Soundtracks. Load Offspring Playlist. GO. We're at a point in time where the soundtracks for games like this don't even matter, anymore. The soundtrack can be anything you want it to be.

Dec 14th 2011 7:28AM @Apsac D Sorry, but you only remember the good bands from the late 90s. tons of awful stuff came out of that period, as that was when Nu Metal really peaked and ska and pop punk were cash cows. An ass ton of wannabes and coat tail riders showed up to water down and ruin perfectly good genres until people just got sick of hearing it (let's all break out our Smash Mouth CDs, yall!!). 10 years from now, people will be talking about how awesome music was in the 10s and someone like me will pop up, again, to remind them that awesome albums come out, every single year, without fail. If you aren't aware of what those awesome albums are, it's because you aren't aware of them, not because they don't exist.

PS in case my sarcasm didnt come through, Smash Mouth sucks.

Dec 14th 2011 7:20AM @NemesisCW Custom soundtracks. I own all the songs I liked from those games anyway.

Dec 10th 2011 10:36PM @Drakkenfyre Oh man, how I did love Bruticus. From his origin to his demeanor to the makeup of the Combaticons. Everything about his was awesome.

Blue Posts and Other WoW News: Number of bosses, and an attitude that needs to sit in the corner {WoW}

Dec 8th 2011 7:11AM I have never set foot inside an actual raid (I've done some low level raid dungeons at 80 for the hell of it, but that hardly counts). I fully intend to get my 85 geared so I can take a crack at Deathwing at some point in LFR. I love that Blizzard has implemented an option for the people that play randomly and don't particularly care about bragging to people about video game accomplishments. Sitting in front of a computer, playing a game, is not hard work.

Watch Cataclysm's ending cinematic {WoW}

Dec 1st 2011 7:34AM Thrall is our general in this expansion. Like it or not, he has been leading the charge against Deathwing. At no point in the story of WoW are players put in a position where we are doing something because it's our idea. We are soldiers in a war and that's never who gets the ultimate pat on the back.

Also, this was pre-rendered with the in-game engine. Doing what you're suggested means we get something like the mid-quest cinematics that only use standard animations and look horribly stilted.

I Am Alive not planned for PC due to piracy concerns {Joystiq}

Nov 23rd 2011 8:53PM @Mcmax3000 PC gamers are more accepting and responsive to 15 dollar downloadable games than console gamers are. Just ask Team Meat and the Limbo guys (I thought Limbo did way better on PC, anyway). Their piracy concerns are archaic and misplaced. Yes, piracy is rampant on PCs. That doesn't mean PC games don't sell well on Steam and other DD services.

Know Your Lore: Story development and why Theramore should burn {WoW}

Nov 20th 2011 5:17PM I am very excited for what's coming in MoP and I really hope Blizzard is ignoring the whining and crying this revelation about Theramore has stirred up. I have a pretty good idea where all of this is going and I think that when it is all said and done, Alliance players are going to be pretty pleased. I have no idea why everyone is freaking out about this one little story bit. Considering that it was troops stationed in Theramore that sacked Taraujo, the Horde retaliating by sacking Theramore makes total sense. That's ignoring the potential Anne points out that sacking Theramore will bring in the way of putting Jaina on the chess board on the Alliance side. Jaina was the very first thing I thought of when I heard about Theramore getting sacked and I almost stood up and cheered. It is going to be glorious.

Know Your Lore: Story development and why Theramore should burn {WoW}

Nov 20th 2011 5:08PM Theramore will be a victory for the Horde in the same way that Pearl Harbor was a victory for Japan. it is going to drag the last vestige of the Alliance that wasn't actively trying to wipe the Horde off Azeroth kicking and screaming into the war. Garrosh knows nothing about Jaina and has no idea what hell he is about to bring down on his head.
