Aug 2nd 2011 1:13AM I am worried about what this could mean where all the best items are for cash only, but I also see that those evil gold-sellers in WoW could be removed potentially if WoW moved to a similar system.
Another interesting facet is the ability to link the battle.net earnings in real dollars to a checking account or merely to use Diablo III farming to purchase WoW time or to fuel my obsession with vanity pets. I am wary of the extra cuts taken from 1) posting Diablo III items for cash 2) a cut from the sold items 3) the fee to transfer out of battle.net and 4) the bank's fee for a battle.net to bank account fee. All of these fees are not known yet but an item sold in Diablo III minus the fees could equate to -5%, -10%, -$0.50, and -$0.50. So an item sold for $5.00 could result in $3.25 cash-out after some reasonable estimates for fees. Maybe #3.25 is still worth the time, but it depends on how much time was invested.
Another great feature is the lack of soulbound items, so in theory, an item could maintain its value over multiple characters or trades. Furthermore, the ability to sell characters could provide some kind of payoff for those gamers unlucky in the suffering job market.
Jul 6th 2011 7:37PM Today's title made me sad; I agree with the people that like Nozdormu. A male elf with brown hair, facial hair, and shirtless ... thank you artists. I'm inspired to write my first fan fic with him and an alt of mine just to mess around.
Jun 30th 2011 11:58PM Counterattack needs to go.
I would like to see an interrupt for boss fights so I can contribute while being SV and it doesn't rely on my pet for the interrupt. Maybe scattershot can still work as an interrupt or silencing shot is given to all hunters.
I'd like to have some healing, probably would have to be action-based. I like the idea posted earlier: "Black Arrow heals for 100% of the damage it causes over it’s duration, and it's duration is changed to match it's CD (SV needs a heal)." However, I don't recall the amount of healing this would give. The leeching venom could work too as the counterattack replacement.
Another option would be to roll self-healing into Aspect of the Fox, making it the best for PVP where cobra shot/steady would heal a % of health compared to damage done; maybe make this the replacement talent for counterattack.
Lots of good ideas from you guys :)
May 6th 2011 10:00AM I've met a few WoW friends and met my husband through my guild. Just had our four-year anniversary.
I recommend it, even if you have to travel (other states or countries).
May 2nd 2011 7:31PM Love this idea. 100% donation, cute pet, and I collect pets anyway. This line made it more meaningful because it reminded me of the Flight of the Hummingbird (Hachidori in Japan): "he's emerged from the forests of Azeroth to lend a helping talon to some friends in need". Also, I saw Michael Nicoll Yahgulanaas and he mentioned how popular his hummingbird story was in Japan (because of its inspirational message). The close link between the two makes me want it even more.
Hachidori has sold over 100,000 copies in Japan. Hachidori has few words but is no less powerful.
Description for Flight of the Hummingbird / The Little Hummingbird (children's book version):
In this inspiring story, the determined hummingbird does everything she can to put out a raging fire that threatens her forest home. The hummingbird—symbol of wisdom and courage—demonstrates that doing something is better than doing nothing at all.

Saves repairs during a wipe, other DPS wish they had it, and it made me laugh when I heard how over-dramatic the sounds and animation are when I first learned it 6 years ago.
Nov 30th 2010 12:02PM I haven't bought any of the pets/mounts -- I ask for them as gifts. The pets and the mount I do not have are on my Christmas list, but they are not as the top of the list. Also, I am a vanity pet collector. However I probably would buy the really cute ones (Rags / Moonkin) especially if the pet is a charity pet.
I currently have: Pandaren Monk, Lil' KT, Gryphon Hatchling, and Wind Rider Cub. A pet AND a stuffed animal? I had to have those (they are great too).
Nov 23rd 2010 10:21PM thanks for the contest and Happy 6th WoW
Oct 17th 2010 6:03PM I also thought it was a shotgun and was a bit disappointed that it was only a staff.
Anyone know what pants those are? They look close to jeans, and I'm tempted to get them for one of my toons.
Aug 31st 2010 1:28AM Great article! It made me reminisce about the good ol' "vanilla" days in WoW and how raids used to be. I especially loved all the warlock and hunter rivalry stuff because it was accurate.
