Feb 25th 2012 2:17AM I havent played CO in ages, but the problem was there in STO recently as well...
but I hope they're fixing the 900 horribly worded tooltips and such as well, both in CO and STO it was like playing a game in beta sometimes...

for a new player thats a lot more daunting than you're making it sound lol, both being able to sustain yourself through plexing "after a month" and the prospect of just randomly finding an 0.0 corp that'll help you out enough to make going out there worth while with incredibly low skills

"- No Sector Walls, 1 big galaxy (4 quadrants)"
Cryptic dosnt make large world games, that's just never going to happen, STO and CO are both built around smaller boxed up places, and they use the exact same tools and game engine for both games, its literally just the only thing they do.
Oct 29th 2011 10:55AM I remember playing the wow beta on my old old old old old old system, couldnt go into any major city without lagging out so bad it nearly crashed, was a 800mhz pentium with 384mb ram lol I upgraded shortly after release heh
Oct 14th 2011 4:02PM The bigger uproar was that they forced their flashy graphics down everyones throat, a big seller for eve for a LOT of people was its low system requirements, hell, people were running 8 accounts at the same time in many cases.
completely removing the old interface for a new one that was literally nothing more than a dressing room to sell their Cash Shop clothing in was just laughable
"bringing back ship spinning" is what they refer to it as for players, what it means is they're going to let you use the old interface instead of having to suck up the crap of the new one.
Oct 14th 2011 2:22PM for those asking, ship spinning was the equivalent of standing in your garage and looking at your car (albeit while being able to "spin" the model around)
it sounds horribly dumb, but it was eve's national (universal?) past-time.
the entire Incarna expansion was prolly the biggest example of dev and player disconnect ive ever seen / heard of. they spent god know how much time and resources on things 90% of the player base didnt care about, or flat out didnt want.
Its nice to see the devs step back, admit the screw up, and take steps to fix it. But it really should have never gotten that bad in the first place
Oct 11th 2011 1:23PM From what ive heard, if you're looking for a Co-OP-ish RPG, SWTOR will be the game for you.
If you're looking for an MMO to replace that hole left when you quit wow, or just want something to replace wow (cause lets face it, everyones likely in one of those two groups lol) it wont be the game.
I was looking forward to giving it a try, but I just kinda decided i'll give it time to settle.
And @ the article, one of the things you mentioned was forums.
WoW beta forums - SUPER awesome community and chock full of useful info
Rift beta forums - same thing
launch forums when the number of users increases 100 fold - useless dribble

Not to be that guy, but does it really matter what they say?
If you do actually read them, have you ever found something in them that you saw and were like NOPE NOT ACCEPTING! if so what? Im legitimately curious, not just trolling or anything.
