Apr 3rd 2012 4:31PM I was gonna say... atm my wife has 120k mana @ 85... so I'm wondering why they are flat lining it at set levels o.o
Apr 3rd 2012 12:33PM Perhaps I do not know bears, but I do know Manglehorn @ Silverhand (While he played) and I can say this: Between my Warrior and Him he was by far the better tank. Maybe this is pure skill (dropping 23k on heroic Firelands was pretty nuts from a tank stand-point IMO...) but it seemed that as a bear he was perfectly happy with his mitigation and survivability. Heck we were able to single tank content that most serious raiders lifted their eyebrows about. Single tanking Yor'sahj on 10 man when the content just hit, without must issue, was impressive at the time, considering he was still in FL gear - but I am not sure what things MOP has planned for the bears. One thing is for sure I was not feeling that the bear tank was an inferior tank by the end of cata,
Apr 1st 2012 2:17PM I think with the right talents AND can be... but fury's biggest drawback in Pop has been rage generation. If you can hit the target you get no rage. So if your fighting a rogue who knows his stuff your done, same for a DL or a mage who can keep you away with out hitting them. That's why Arms anger management is so attemractive for papers. Arms will have the rage. If they can fix this, the fury can be viable. Until the I will continue to decimate my fury brothers while in Arms.
Mar 19th 2012 5:00PM Here is what I (realistically) expect to see happen.
We all know Garrosh and Varian have an INTENSE hatred of each other. I want to see this show itself in several skirmishes between the two, where BOTH defy the advice of their advisers and comrades in pursuit of the others fall. I would love for Varian to fight Garrosh hand to hand for a nearly useless cause, enraging both Horde and Alliance to the point where their leadership is called into question. While the raid on Orgrimmar is occurring and Varian, no doubt, will be leading the charge, the other Alliance leadership should seriously consider Varian's actions, and was his personal vendetta his driving cause for the attack or was it a truly needed event. As Varian comes back "Victorious" he is met with the other Alliance leaders, who accuse him of taking a personal vendetta into the overall siege - as he blows his own fuse he attacks one of the other leaders in a fit of anger, and is promptly subdued. Shortly after this they determine that until Varian can control his darker self, he too, should be dethroned, and his Son (or another Alliance leader) take his place.
I think this would rock, and also put a bit of the leadership shake-up that the horde has felt for TWO expansions now into the Alliance.
Mar 19th 2012 4:52PM I have said this since the end of Wrath, "SAURFANG FOR WARCHIEF!" Come on... was ANY hordie not stoked during the Gunship start. "Rise up, sons and daughters of the Horde! Today we battle a hated enemy of the Horde! LOK'TAR OGAR!" - I use that during Tol 'Barad to this day, because it is AWESOME - so I say Saurfang for Warchief! Anyone else??
Feb 28th 2012 9:04AM ...Camp Taurajo...
it was special to me because I spent the most time leveling there with my alts. My hearth stone was set there and it was Shaman's RP home in wrath. To this day when my tauren do dailies on twilight highlands I spend an extra amount of time killing wildhammer for this reason. *sniff*
Feb 18th 2012 9:01PM Actually, and this is in reference to Spell Reflection, I think this little tiny bit would work well...
Go into the Hour of Twilight Dungeon. Last boss, time is JUUUUST right, and spell reflect either a smite or twilight blast... It doesn't "Reflect" the note I get is "Deflected" - not back at the boss, just not on me. I can see this becoming a better way of handling SR so that it's not doing crazy extra tank damage, while still being useful.
Jan 27th 2012 12:39AM Generally I find that, when I'm FC on my Prot Warrior and I'm on with my wife (Disc Priest) she runs a good deal out and ahead of me, still within healing range (This is easy cause she can mount up and I cannot.) We tend to run along an edge of where there isn't a huge war going on - of course the war does come to us... so as soon as I am stunned/snared/ect I intervene on her - People forget that Intervene removes stuns/snares/etc... so that's one save, my wife btw, hasn't dismounted, she continues to run. Hopefully by now she's gotten to the entrance of our lovely base, the tunnel. The ball is in her court as she "Lifegrips" me to the door, and I heroic leap into the depths of the tunnel.
This usually works out pretty well, as most people don't tend to catch my wife on her mount - even if they do it's a simple charge for me to once again: Get me to safety, and stun whoever attacking my healer/wife. For good measure I also can toss out a shockwave and still make a run for it, saving the trinket if things get hairy.
It's not fool proof but it's not a bad strat and it enables me and my wife to rush the flag room with only two people, while everyone else is busy smashing each others faces.
Jan 22nd 2012 4:25AM I believe the term here that we are looking for here is Sparse, as in Spartan. The gear here is supposed to be simple, functional, and without any flare. Unlike the nice Climate over in Elwynn Forrest, Durotar is a desert, it's hot - leather works best, also it's probably best, when standing guard all day, to not bother with a helm or cape.
These are the key differences between Stormwind Guard and the Orgimmar Guard, Climate (both social and environmental). It's why I love Horde. You live with what you need, what you want is not part of the discussion, this is war, this is a fight to live, this is a fight for our own, this is a fight... FOR THE HORDE!
Dec 14th 2011 7:45AM I tank old heroics this way... but then again I'm the tank, my wife is the healer, and we know we can handle it as long as the DPS pew pew we're all fine ^^;;
