Apr 18th 2010 2:38AM I used to steal the buff from the casters in the gauntlet section of H:Mech. You'd steal aggro from the tank and die every time, but it was worth it.

1) 5/5 Divine Strength - Str is already your best dps stat once hit capped. Boost it some more.
2) 8 points in Prot tree to get 3/3 precision. Let your pally tank get BoK because you'll be handing out the Imp. BoM. Take redoubt for Off Tanking, you'll want to be using Sanctity where possible anyway.
3) In Ret tree try and get 5/5 Benediction and 5/5 Imp. BoM unless you have another 2 pallys in the raid (prob 25 man) who are already providing BoK and Imp. BoM.
Drop Deflection, it doesn't do any damage in a raid and you don't need it for soloing. (Yes a parried attack increases swing speed but you won't be attacking from the front.)
Jul 12th 2008 10:56PM I really do suspect that frostfire will only be good for elementalist builds, fire will still top the dps but when we have raids with multiple fire and frost resist bosses the elementalist build will shine.
As always it'll be a majority of fire/frost immune mobs and bosses.
I also believe that frostfire will end up only using the approriate talents depending on the damage type the spell actually does.
Jul 9th 2008 4:04AM Arena did it's thing for me, stam gear to take on Krosh.
Other than that, facing 2k rated players in a 1.3-1.4k team wasn't too much fun. Some people find themselves inadequate in some places and have to stoop to low levels to feel good about themselves, but that isn't an exclusive MMO thing.
Jul 3rd 2008 3:34AM Umm folks, sheeps break. Look for the little 'puff' of smoke around the sheep that is wandering by, that's the mage re-sheeping, constantly.
And Drad? You kinda shot yourself in the foot there a few times.
I'm only doing SSC & TK & MH but yes, I can be beaten on the dps charts, rogue, locks and hunters can all beat me, not ness. all the time but as soon as you leave Kara you find that their dps begins to improve more with gear upgrades than your own. AOE? Sure we have heaps of options, the only useful one in raids is Arcane Explosion (with 40% threat reduction talents) because dead mages don't dps (except for 2 ticks of ignite)
+40 int = 600 mana = less than 3 spells for a mage. Increase in crit? yeah about a quarter of a percent. Not really make or break on a raid boss.
Free mana pot? On the same cooldown as healthstones and a number of other consumables and gives back upto 2460 mana, not even half the mana pool of a ret pally! In 10 mans I can be easily reduced to wanding with mana gem, mana pots and evocation all on CD. (With no AB) 25s are a bit better because there is usually alot more moving around.
Biscuits? at the minor cost of 20 silver saves each person in the raid 1 gold? Yeah, really important, go sell a grey and buy a stack.
Now onto the ranting part of your post:
You claim no CC, I hear cyclone and hibernate. (With a quick shapeshift)
You claim no group utility, I read Battle Rez, Innervate, Off Healing. (This is the bit where you really shot yourself.)
I'm not going to point out all the problems with mages, anyone who has done more than switching in an alt. in Kara already knows what they are.
Instead I'm going to run off to level my Retnoob (Off tanking is CC too.)
