May 5th 2009 11:58PM this brings me back to the idea of gettin expose armor from rogues. there needs to be a glyph or talent somewhere that allows evis of envenom to also cause the expose armor affect.
May 5th 2009 11:53PM two things:
1) ret pallies do pretty well on dps in raids
2) what group have you been in takes rogues because they can evasion tank?
May 5th 2009 11:48PM well the topic isnt really about warriors so i dont know why you would try to chime in about them other than to complain and take everyone off topic.
but yeah, dps warriors need stuff too i guess. unless you want to say that battle shout is what they bring to the raid. However, if you are a dps raiding warrior then you have buffs you give to the raid already besides battle shout. with the added ability of dual speccing for tanking if raid needs and extra OT for a particular fight. I know the last thing dps warriors want to hear is "tank" but that is enough of a reason to get into the raid over a rogue, and a low chance of occuring so you will most likely end up spending all your time dpsing anyway
but like i said, if you want to talk about the problems warriors have, you should take it to a place that specifically talks about warirors.
May 5th 2009 11:39PM the main problem is not that only one class has it, its that only one class has it and it is almost mandatory for every boss in 25 man instances. if it wasnt so imperative to success the idea of giving it to another class would never come up, really.
also, everyone might hate me for this, but I have to mention that you are technically not using the term "begs the question" properly, buuuuut so many people use it in the way you do in this day and age that its use is more or less correct i suppose....so i dont know why i am bothering to bring it up.
May 5th 2009 11:26PM Well the class isnt called ninja or assassin, its called rogue. That could apply to various types of people. To say it nerdfully: rogues could be anything from a loud mouthed, cocky han solo, to a silent assassin as you describe such as Rikimaru from the tenchu series (and if you dont know that game then Sam Fisher from Splinter Cell). I think the very names of the talent trees can prove that point
Baisically rogues get the job done even if its not by the rules. Fan of Knives seemes like a rogue ability to me, in that if they get surrounded and cant escape they would have to fight.
May 5th 2009 11:15PM I agree with this idea, though I would come up with a better name :)
May 5th 2009 11:13PM Elemental is a little screwed, blame blizz for that. They have kinda put shamans in a "go resto or go home" kind of way. but in that regard they have earth sheild, chain heal, riptide, and that new cleanse ability. If you still really want to dps in a raid, enhancement is not bad. you wont be number one exactly, but Ive seen enh shammies put out alot of damage.
totems are still useful, though they arent as important as they used to be, but i think thats what blizz was goin for. Back to resto, for instance, Mana tide is still great.
I wont say everything is great for shamans, but you come on here complaing about other people complaining, just after complaining about your class as if they have it the worst. I will give you that elem shammies need help, but you mention that you cant survive in pvp, I'd say go resto (blizz is serioulsy crammin it down your throat what can i say) and be near impossible to kill. Also, I have to mention that elem shammies are like the squishiest spec to play as a shaman. If you dont want to go resto than consider enh.
Long story short: elem needs work, enh is ok, resto got a little too much attention. but dont let that affect what other classes get to make them better. dont stop other people from getting buffs when the truth is it just stems from your class needing buffs too and not another getting nerfed or left alone.
May 5th 2009 11:00PM Deal. Shamans need Cloak of Shadows anyway, I'm tired of seein them die from hodir b/c they got frost nova'd and no one cleansed them for some reason.
May 5th 2009 10:58PM I beat the hunters too. and also, with fan of knives the way it is now i can aoe just as good as everyone else (sometimes better)
May 5th 2009 10:55PM You can sap, kick, and debuff targets in Ulduar. In fact, there are some pulls where I am needed to sap targets.
