Aug 14th 2008 2:46AM I think it was a great move on Blizzard, I knew they were going to do something to try and make it up.
Just think about it this way, Blizzard always learns from their mistakes, so next years blizzcon will BE HUGE!!!!!
They might even host it in a much bigger venue like how some of the WWI were held. Olympic stadiums anyone? :-D
Even though I have tickets this year, I really want to goto their next event because due to the mass of people trying to goto this one they are bound to make it huge for the next one :)
This is really an exciting time for gamers world wide, Gaming is finally starting to get accepted in the US like it is in Korea with games like World of Warcraft.
If you don't get to go this year, just remember that the next blizzcon is really going to be LEGENDARY!!!
Aug 14th 2008 1:49AM It was a bit fast, I was able to grind out 2 lvls a night while casually playing the beta.
Aug 14th 2008 1:46AM Come on guys, You guys always make the changes look like they are bad. THIS IS BETA! As a beta tester you should know better that things are they way they are for testing purposes. Their will likely be a wave of beta invites going out soon to get a new group of players to lvl and test the new xp gain. I am 100% certain that this will change and they will likely settle in between somewhere.
Aug 13th 2008 8:39PM I got my blizzcon invite like 3 weeks ago. Already lvl 77 :\
So I don't know what this QQ is about?
I did register my beta key card right after I got hom from blizzcon last year. The sooner you register the card the sooner you might get an invite maybe?
Aug 4th 2008 12:57PM "I know we are supposed to come into more contact with Arthas in this expansion. How often have you seen him so far and what role will he play in the casual's experience?"
If you goto Howling fjord you will encounter him within the first few questlines. There is this quest where you enter a spirit world and he is standing in front of the entrance of Utgarde Keep, If you walk up to him he smacks ya on the ground and has a little bit of dialog with you before one shooting your ass :)
Jul 27th 2008 11:49AM The whole Purpose of this is to make sure players arnt skipping early progression. They want players to progress in a way they choose and not go flying up to Icecrown right away and having you go /poke Arthas. They want to tell you the story behind the place. I am currently in beta and am Glad that they did this. As the story is amazing so far :)
Jul 24th 2008 9:32PM yup i just got an email from them and thats what i sent them. Hopefully they can get it working for me tonight still :)
Jul 24th 2008 7:47PM Im having an issue getting My Blizzard Temporary account setup. :( It prompts me to enter my world of warcraft retail information which I do then it comes up with invalid login :( Its really getting annoying that no one from blizzard has replied to my emails yet :(
Jul 9th 2008 8:06PM "It appears that not only did they vastly underestimate demand for the Authenticator"
Mmkay, a lot of people do want them yes. But you try making 10 Million of these things. They are all unique, which means production is going to be more difficult.
Look at Nintendo for example, they had issues supplying the Wii do to manufacturing.
Be patient. Blizzard is more then likely releasing them in waves. Its not that didn't anticipate it, its just that they cant produce keyfobs for the 10 million accounts in one month come on guys a little common sense. lol
Jul 8th 2008 2:38AM Its not that they didn't anticipate the mass demand for these, its the fact that producing so many can be a huge undertaking. Each one of these are unique which means that they cant be mass produced as efficiently.
