Jul 7th 2008 1:06PM 4 hunters? I can see 4 druids...one resto, one balance, one feral tank, one feral dps...but hunters are all dps. I imagine finding groups for 4 hunters would be troublesome at best...
Its ok, I'll /facepalm for you.
Jul 7th 2008 12:50PM I have a friend that plays City of Heroes/Villains. He came over to play WoW and lasted until level 40 before he quit because I personally didn't want to have to help him level through the instances at that level. I have plenty of 70s that have all been through there.
However, he made the comment that in his game, they have two things that help facilitate such a situation of new and old gamers.
First, Sidekicking: You can ally along your party member of higher level and thus be transferred to one level below his (Hes 70, youre 69) for that instance. No new spells, just updated spells to assist with the instance. Granted I am not sure how WoW could make this work, but you can also "dumb down" your 70 to that persons level to assist in an instance without stealing all of their XP.
Secondly, Instances tailored to the size of the group. 2 people who quest together for RFD? Less mobs, less bosses, lesser quality of loot. 4 People? scale the instance accordingly. Granted you lose chances at some loot if your group is smaller, but the instances are being experienced in a similar fashion. Its the same premise as heroics in a way.
Food for thought Blizzard...
