May 4th 2009 1:11AM Finished tonight...Adam's "guide" is a bit too long. It should read:
1. Get Lucky
May 2nd 2009 9:58AM Fully agree that this achievement is entirely too difficult for the average PVE player - especially if you don't happen to play one of the FotM OP classes. I was going to detail the multitude of reasons why this achievement was poorly thought out, but likely the only people reading this will be those that already know them and agree. If this is the one achievement that keeps me from getting the violet proto-drake, I will likely start looking for better ways to spend my free time.

Oct 21st 2008 9:19PM Quoting Blizz:
To be clear, the Zul'Aman bear mount is supposed to be an item of very high prestige. We want players who have earned it during the appropriate era (aka before the level cap gets raised) to be recognized for their accomplishment. We have absolutely no problem with higher level players (above level 70) going back and doing Zul'Aman after Wrath of the Lich King is live. We just want to preserve the accomplishment of having saved all 4 prisoners at the intended difficulty level.
I got my Dreadsteed at 60 and have allowed countless others to use my material in order to save money. I guess my "item of very high prestiege" is meaningless to Blizzard. I had no problem with them dropping the bear mount...I agree that prestiege should go along with an item, but if they are going to do this to 'locks and pallies - they should bring back the bear mount!
Oct 3rd 2008 11:17PM I've never understood this either...every item craftable under Master Axe/Hammer/Sword smith is BoP, and only 4 items craftable under Weaponsmith are BoE, so not much money to be made from this "profession" at the moment. Hoping they make some changes in Wrath, but not holding my breath.
Aug 4th 2008 8:40PM An idea I posted on the forums was Metamorphosis should work like an improved demonic sacrifice - the form you take is based on the demon you have active. The best example I can think of is the Shivan Assassin demon in the Crystalforged Darkrune quest in Ogri'la. I came up with the following ideas as possibilities:
Imp: group/raid buff to fire damage, instant firebolts, fire shield
Void Walker: 500% armor, high threat/low damage attack, group/raid buff threat reduction to spells
Succubus: group/raid buff to shadow damage, instant shadowbolts, shadow ward/resistance
Felhunter: group/raid buff paranoia, mana burn, spell absorption
Felguard: group/raid buff to melee damage, 350% armor, cleave
Something like this would allow a demonologist to fill almost any gap in a group. Need an OT? Summon VW and Meta. Have several destro locks/fire mages in raid? Summon imp and Meta. Shadowpriests and afflict locks? Summon succy...
This will likely take some work to balance in PVP (I am strictly PVE), but something like this is what it would take for me to dedicate the full 51 points in demonology
Jul 27th 2008 8:41AM I'm betting Blizz will announce a release date in Nov, but actual release will be in Dec - before Christmas.
Jul 8th 2008 1:52PM As a demonologist assuming we get a free respec on release, I plan on giving demon form a try - at least for the initial grind from 70-71 (at which point siphon life would become available with felguard). If it is useful, I'll likely keep it all the way to 80, but the felguard + siphon life + shadow mastery combination seems too powerful to pass up and will likely be my spec at 80.
