Feb 24th 2009 1:45PM @Bru,
I would explain it like this: if they took away the increased damage taken penalty for berserker, then fury's damage taken would be reduced by about 11%. so in the scales of comparision, does reduced damage taken make for up reduced dps? Personally, I don't think so. But none of this matters anyway, since its not even a rumor.
Feb 24th 2009 1:03PM i mean increased damage taken, of course.
Feb 24th 2009 1:01PM I remember hearing about blizz removing stance penalties. If that materialized in this ptr at some point it would erase our increased damage by 10% penalty for berserker. That doesn't make up for the nerf, but it would be a good start.
Feb 24th 2009 12:30PM Matthew, I enjoy reading your blog. The other one. This blog is great too,and I'm not even a shaman. But, I need some care and feeding, since blizz just dropped the nerf bomb on us, and it still hurts.
Feb 9th 2009 11:00PM How dare you, mike schramm, for blaming this on the parents of the poor girl?!?!
I'm shocked that your first instinct is to defend the game and blame the parents for not being aware. Of course, this is nowhere near the fault of blizz or wow, but neither is it the fault of the girls parents.
Is a parent expected to be over the shoulder of their child reading every whisper or chat they receive? They allow their children to play, thinking its safer than sitting in yahoo chat rooms, and scumbags like that guy prey on them. There is absolutely no way to protect your child infinitely from the bad people out there. That is the way of the world. Bad people do bad things. Usually to good people.
Mike, if you have a daughter, will you let her play WoW unsupervised?
Feb 1st 2009 2:55PM I don't see anyone mentioning this person your tired of hearing about, except you. As they say at the St. James Gate... Brilliant!
Jan 4th 2009 11:25AM Darrowmere horde represent represent. And leave me alone when I'm farming worm meat. Or bring a couple friends, because I will hit you back.
Dec 9th 2008 12:44PM As a Titan's Grip Warrior, I have to point out a slight inaccuracy in what you said. I do agree that it would be stupid to try to reach the white hit hit cap, but saying that most of our dps comes from specials is only half-true. White damage accounts for the largest % of damage. It's usually between 30-40% of total damage. If you factor in deep wounds, then theres no way Special attacks are most of our damage. If someone doesn't have deep wounds, then all of their Special attacks combined might be more than half.
Personally I've gotten my hit back up to 300, and I still have a long way to go as far as getting better gear. But at 300, I do enough damage (if there is such a thing!), and rarely miss. Thats the key. missing rarely. missing never would cost other valuable stats like +crit.
Aim for 300 as a titans grip warrior at lvl 80, and you'll notice great returns. I suspect it will get better when I get up around 350, which is my target.
Nov 25th 2008 1:11PM ...just be glad this isn't one of those quests with a cinematic ending!
Nov 12th 2008 3:46PM I just found the blue post, but it's followed with another post that seems to contradict the first, even though he says he's confirmed it...
