May 5th 2009 6:16PM My wife and I have gone the last two years. Not sure about this year. Disneyland was honestly more bang for our buck as to what we got and enjoyed.
Dec 15th 2008 4:33PM No matter how you justify it, anyone with half a conscience would have given all of the gold back. As a blacksmith myself, i fail to see how it's possible he did not know the item was Bind on Pickup.
Nov 18th 2008 4:14PM Gamers like playing games for entertainment. Gamers do not enjoy watching other people playing games for entertainment.
Nov 12th 2008 2:07PM I live in a fairly small sized city in Central Oregon. I was suprised to learn over 200 folks were expected to show up at our local gamestop for the midnight Launch. They are even doing a costume contest.
My wife and I are going naturally :). Might even wear our Undead masks from Blizzcon.
Nov 12th 2008 9:25AM There is no reason whatsoever that the players should be punished for a mistake Blizzard made. Nor should you as a player feel "guilt" for grabbing the gear.
Should they remove the gear from people who grabbed it for free? Absolutely. You had your fun, now give it back.
Should they action accounts and swing the banhammer? Not a chance, nor will they. They made a mistake, they realized it. They brought the servers down to fix it.
I am seriously hard pressed to believe any of the people who posted in this thread so negatively were really that impacted by everyone having free gear for an hour or two. They were going to bring the servers down to fix this regardless if players had exploited it or not once it was discovered.
Nov 12th 2008 1:21AM How on earth could they justify banning the players? They are not exploiting anything. A ton of folks probably just assume Blizzard is giving the gear away for free since Wrath goes live tomorrow.
I figure they will probably take it away though. But banning players? Nah. Not a chance.
Nov 4th 2008 7:11PM It all depends how the criticism is handled. Openly yelling/screaming at a player who made a mistake is going to get you nowhere, and elicit nothing but negative reactions.
Constructive criticism with suggestions and advice, perhaps in private will be more receptive to your typical player.
Oct 24th 2008 12:50PM Forcing PVP without consent on a PVE server is really not fair.
Other then that, the Even is a good amount of fun.
Oct 23rd 2008 6:42PM My prayers to his family and friends.
He is in a much better place now.
Oct 3rd 2008 9:05PM I work for a local ISP that recently implemented a bandwidth cap to our customers. We set a hard cap of 100G for our customers, and a small fee for each G over that they go per month.
Personally I have mixed feelings on the cap. I can see the good and bad sides of it. Regardless, i think many ISP's will be adopting this policy going forward, for better or for worse.
