Feb 3rd 2012 8:51AM I have to say my Husband is my gaming enabler. He started playing WoW first, but all I played was DS games and a few of the children I worked with played Runescape so I coughed up 5 dollars a month to interact with them and because it was a nice little diversion. I liked -watching- him play WoW but it looked sooooo complicated and I liked my gaming pretty simple.
Then he was gone for a few weeks and I was bored and more then a bit lonely so I pulled out one of his trial cards and loaded up WoW on my computer. It was a little hard at first and my trackball mouse was woefully unusable for the functions of WoW but I was catching on and having fun.
When he came home we had to go out and buy me the battlechest, a new monitor and a new mouse. I was firmly hooked and I've played ever since BC with him.
Recently I've been bored in WoW because I'm at the end of Cat, and waiting for Mists and other then some dailies or special event activities, I just can't make myself play much. So he showed me Star Wars, which is 'waiting on Mists diversion' and now I have a way to kill the time until Pandaren arrive. Or at least Diablo 3... or the next Starcraft. Yeah, he really got me hooked on Blizzard games and MMOs... lol
Jan 20th 2012 8:42AM I always do my dailies at the beginning of the expansion/content patch/whatnot. Usually I get bored or run out of rewards and stop doing them eventually.
Honestly though, I haven't logged on to do a quest since the first day of Winter Veil. I got bored more quickly in this expansion then I have in expansions past.
