Mar 30th 2010 9:35AM Hmmm... a reason to LIKE Tuesdays? Say it isn't so....
May 24th 2009 6:45PM The issue of shielding brings to light one of my personal issues in raids. I, as a deep Holy Priest, am constantly being placed on Tank Heal duty. I'm perfectly fine with that if we have an overabundance of raid healers. I can handle it. *shrug* It eats mana quite a bit more.. but I manage. But... shouldn't the Disc priests be on tank duty instead?
I will happily let our Disc priests handle the Tanking Shields. Alas, I don't always see it happening. If our tank is taking a lot of damage and they are going without a shield for whatever reason, heck yeah.. I *will* throw mine up there. A holy shield is better than no shield.
May 4th 2009 8:39PM WoW wouldn't be what it is without the old world.. People need to experience that to fully appreciate "end game". My only wish, in regards to it, is that it could be reworked to where we could have flying mounts there. Other than that, I still love the old world areas. I don't level anymore characters because flight has spoiled me, plain and simple.
Apr 27th 2009 8:37AM I managed to finish on my main without too many issues. In fact, it was quite a party. Of course, I started it as the event was just starting. It was very busy, but the jerks hadn't shown up yet.
I'm now working on it for my alt, as she is a mage. I wasn't going to bother.. but decided I couldn't pass up the bunny polymorph. My experience has changed tremendously.. and not for the good. I've remained quiet and not bothering anyone by simply sitting at a spawn point. I've been harassed, slapped, tormented, IMed and called named, etc. It's really sad.. considering how FUN it was early on.
My two complaints....
1) Bliz needs to extend the spawn area out.. perhaps to the entire zone vs just right around the central cities. This would help a LOT with the frustrations and harassment going on out there.
2) I worked REALLY hard to get my elegant dress last year. Same with the little black dress at Valentine's Day. These were once special items.. that I loved to wear around town. Now.. they are just.. eh.. whatever.. *everyone* has one. I think they should have used a different dress and tux now that they are so easy to obtain.
Apr 17th 2009 2:19AM EWW.
I was active in another place where there was a reputation system. ABUSE ABUSE ABUSE!!!!!!! It was abused by both sides. People were paying for positive ratings.. and others were passing out negative ratings simply to be jerks or hurt people.
Let's get serious.. Watch Trade on any server. Think of the PuGs you have been in. How many do you think will be *honest* in their rating? How many do you think will simply go butcher someone's rep for the heck of it.. as they do in Trade daily.
Imagine having your internet poof during a storm and there being something out there for the people in your group to go and badmouth you and destroy your reputation.
I will stick by the tried and true method... If someone is bad enough, or good enough, I will eventually hear about them without something like this which is open to rampant abuse.
I know some will say that it is "protected" because we have to verify our character and people can see what we say about someone. But, the truth is, there are a lot of people out there that would get a kick out of making negative comments and not care that they are known for doing that. They would, in fact, wear it like a badge of honor.
Apr 5th 2009 6:31PM Ummm as a holy priest that has yet to have to do this... (we have an overabundance of priests, including 2-3 shadow priests per run) I would have liked to see a Noob's Eye View of it... like what the UI looks like... so that I don't panic when I end up having to jump in. LOL
I mean.. I know we need to communicate and break MC.. that is fairly basic. I don't want to grab the student and waste time familiarizing myself with the spells and such after the fact... with the raid leader screaming to hurry. LOL
Apr 1st 2009 10:50PM I totally disagree with removing the chance to obtain these mounts. I understand the desire to keep them rare, but they will always be rare simply due to the work to obtain them. To be frank, a majority of the players won't bother. By the time people could simply go back and "easily" complete those achievements.. there will be *NEW* things that are simply more interesting and more desirable.
Look at how easily we can race through MgT to get the mount.. Yet, how many do we see? Ditto for the mount from the special Druid summoned boss over in Auch. How about the rare vanity pets that have to be seriously grinded for..
Point Blank.. if we have to WORK for something.. and work HARD... it WILL be Rare.
Plus, if they HAVE HAVE HAVE to be removed... it is happening WAY too soon. We had a *LOT* longer to work on obtaining the ZA Bear.
Apr 1st 2009 3:23AM Ummm... No. 25Man raids take a LOT more to pull off successfully...not just in terms of people, but in terms of coordination, strategy and leadership. The people willing, and able, to do these raids certainly deserve more than what is received in 10Man.
Mar 15th 2009 9:11PM Nice change on the Emblems. Altho, it is rather fun when we get to tease someone for forgetting their emblem on a death run back and we see a boss still laying there.
I like the comfirmation upon entering as well. About time! I'm just not sure why it can't simply place us where we started right out side the entrance vs forcing us to run back from a graveyard. I can see this turning into a teasing fest as well... Oh well.. LOL
Mar 10th 2009 1:49PM We are better, so it feels easier. Everything we have experienced through past raiding has built up to this. We have learned techniques which we now bring with us into all future fights and situations.
Too bad Bliz now feels the need to introduce vehicle fights vs discovering more ways to test our true class skills and knowledge.
